Spot on BC!! But don't let facts get in the way of tnucocatanutyrrufreknawyssupreeuqeht justification campaign of the NRL's history of reaming us by their refs!!

      What facts???

Like the one where we've played 14 games, 8 against other top 8 sides for 4 wins???

Or the fact we've played 8 of our games away???

Didn't someone do the stats for over the whole NRL era, since 98 showing it went back at least 15 years???

Also I recall our coach hinting we'd been getting shafted penalty wise for that period not long ago.

Either way Tommys stats clearly showed that since 2008 the only team in the top 1/2 of the penalty counts to win a GFs was the StainedIllaSoxes. As pointed out by Mingin.

Clearly the stats show we cop it penalty wise but that in itself doesn't lead to the inability to win a comp.

Yes I own the Kleenex factory,so what??? You already know that tnucdekcirpelttilreeuq dlihcevol'sirrahhplor as I have been sponsoring you for years, otherwise you wouldn't be able to afford the amount you use! Also you should know that I own the tampon factory, for which I have also been sponsoring you for years, as you go through them like the plague tnucegnalfyrrufyllemsyssupreknawreeuq!!

Anyway, now back on topic, If Cords is not close to 100% with his injury, Robbo should rest him from this game. We won't need Cords for the following week against cronulla, and then we have the bye. Cords after that amount of rest should then be close to if not 100% fit ready to go round 19 against the pamfers.

The only teams that can genuinely win the comp apart from us are....Souths LOSS Manly LOSS Dogs LOSS & a win when they had no 1/2's Morris and Williams., Storm WIN, when they were origin affected, and Penrith, who we haven't played yet.
Don't let a 9-5 record fool you. We haven't hit our straps yet.

Definitely yes & this is clearly supported by the facts. Even Robbo earlier this year stated we had been done over by the refs for the last 10 years so I know I'm not imagining it.

However, I know there's nothing I can do about. But, it makes me feel better to get it off my chest on a forum like this.

I don't expect to be called stupid though, because I know I'm not.

I've followed the chooks for 40+ years and it's been a wild ride. It just frustrates me beyond belief that our team has to fight against unfair forces to try and get over the line each week. I'd much rather sit back in my lounge chair and enjoy watching my team play to same rules as everyone else rather than spending my time yelling obscenities at the refs. Imagine how good we'd be if we got a fair go. However, it could be worse and 2009 springs to mind.

I'm thankful that we have a great team and the last 15 years have been a great time to be a fan. That doesn't mean though I can quietly accept what's going on with the refs.
                I blame the FOFF.

What's different to last season at this time of year???

Souffs had beat us, Melba had beat us and we had only beaten WoManly who from memory had injuries at the time. The Boggs weren't really contenders last year.

On top of that thru some of those losses and wins this season haven't we had $BW and JWH and Cordner missing??? AV now. 3 origin players also???

Why don't the players we have had missing count???

I'm not saying we are playing great but nothing you've said shows me we are struggling and have just been lucky, which is what you seem to suggest with your posts often.

stae, its called a reality check, if you are happy with our form to date, good luck to you, we will compare posts after the game , and see who is closer to the mark, I have never hoped to be more wrong, but somehow, I doubt it.

I've repeatedly said that IMO we aren't anywhere near peaking as yet ElCrispyOne.

That said our form to date has been fine.

At this stage we are in great position for and against wise, we are a win behind the leaders, we have have minimal injuries, we have played a majority of away games meaning we come home with more home games and we have played the majority of our games against the other top 8 sides winning 1\2 of those.

We are sitting on the shoulder of the leaders in a marathon with improvement and expierence up our sleeves.

With luck especially with injuries we have placed ourselves to get on a roll now, taper towards the end and enter the 8 in the top 4.

We have given ourselves every opportunity to go deep again.

We may very well lose this Friday. They are a great side and will be pumped at home. It will be a massive challenge and a real test.

Still I bet no one at the club will slit their wrists if we do lose.

Yourself and The Big nO are the masters of doom and gloom. When the reality of the situation is far from that.

I'm simply offering a balanced view of the season so far and to come using FACTS.

At least we agree on the hope you're wrong.

stsae, all good points mate, but they still don't mask the fact that we are not playing well. I can understand the slow start to the year, given the large number of players involved in various world cup teams, but taking into account we have had a minimal number of injuries, a small inclusion in SOO teams, we should be nailing teams at this time of year, not scraping home. We will know more after Friday night, but Robbo has a Lamborgini team there, and they are driving like a Proton , he needs to get them firing on all cyclinders from this weekend on.
