Meehan is not going to Commonwealth Games

I've seen a few people ask, but haven't seen this posted. I did some searching and it seems he lost his qualification fight despite being the heavy favourite.

Looks like he can now focus on footy.

The commonwealth games is the biggest Mickey mouse comp around. Let him try for the Olympics.

He impressed me tonight. Got involved, ran hard, scrapped for every inch, and physical in defence. Looks to be a great prospect.

Impressive first up for the big fella..Showed a good bit of maturity and I just hope he gets a regular bench spot now to increase his confidence and experience in the top grade. Take the place of Napa at least who doesn't really show much from what I've seen. Morts is also a bench wasted imo.

brilliant game for an 18 yr old on debut. Would love to see him on the bench in place of FPN.
Moa > Liu > Meehan > JWH > Maubs > Napa > Casty > FPN.
On a side note, how bad is Hargreaves. Looks a shadow of what he was last year

I will never understand what anyone sees in Morts as a footballer. A complete waste of a bench spot. Good debut by Meehan, probably will only get 1 more game this year during origin period unless we're struck by injuries.

Love a bit of Willis Meehan. Ran hard and pumped the legs in attack, hit hard and used his shoulder in defence.

He has absoutley shot past Evans in the pecking order imo.

Evans like Napa has defensive issues and they are being worked on.

Meehan did ok but not great for a young kid on debut. He often looked completely lost like he didn't know what to do. Made some ordinary errors in defense. But I got the feeling it was nerves more than anything. I hope he keeps getting better

I can see Evans defensive issues, mainly based on how tall he is and his head isn't fully mentally on for defence yet, but Napa looks pretty solid defensively for a young kid, what areas do you reckon that he's lacking?
