Need to go back and watch a few of our games over the last month or so, may just be over-reading it.
Pearce's confidence is shot at the moment, the whole attack looks clunky when he gets involved, some really basic errors again today the kick out on the full, the cut out pass that went behind our whole backline.

Robbo has to use his jedi mind tricks to get Pearce focussed again, he was one of our best for the first month but has fallen badly away recently.

I thought we were great right up the guts. In fact a huge wrap on a lot of players coming out of this game.

SBW - Finally playing off the back of a team who dominated the go forward & it showed. MOTM. Superstar. Freak. Legend.
JWH - Back to his best, lead the pack like a champ.
Moa & FPN - Real powerful runs up the middle. Bending the line every time.
Napa & Casty - Real competitors, defence is brilliant and gave us good go forward.

I agree with everything but I don't think Pearce to Maloney has been used anymore than last year.

I know we have been successful with it but I think sometimes when they line up on one side of the field it can be predictable.

If RTS gets more time at fullback we could split them more and be far more dangerous IMO.

Anyway some great signs today SBW is getting back to his best. Whenever he is on the field we can win any game.

He or Friend were MOM today, man that kid has come good.

      Toups too looks very confident.

I think we are starting to warm up.

Looks fitter than most and is also older than most.
not joking -thought he had a great game. lots of tackle busts

          • i think we are back - even though our finishing is not there yet, we created lots of scoring chance, our go forward was excellent.
Pearce seems to be lacking confidence but as a good paring BBQ has stepped up and is playing well. SBW was super with his running and passing

Fair enough his attack was good and has been pretty much all year.

I thought he made a couple of poor defensive reads today though.

              • Our go forward in the first 10 minutes said to me that we are very close to being back.

They shredded the Storm for 60m every set...just like we did so often last year.

JWH, Moa and FPN were brutal with their runs. Just imagine when we get Boyd back.

                  Yep, yep and yep

Was extremely pleased with our go forward today

Too many times earlier in the season our forwards weren't going forward as a pack. Today, they killed it up the middle. Punishing runs up the middle one after the other, as a unit. Was a thing of beauty last year and it's something we need to see more of this year

                  • It was Melba old day, they turned up, and we belted them, end of story.
Best go forward of the year. JWH seemed to be back doing what he does best, being nasty, and we always go good when Frank is mean, trent just needs to work out how to tune that tap on every week.
Pearce was O, he's a shot duck atm, lots of work for Trent, but I have faith in Trent. Pearce is a simple man, simple men should play straight.
BBQ was sublime, notice how no one drops his SOFT passes, it's called a natural playmaker ability, born with it, can't be taught, been doing it all his life, and he knows which runner is in the hole, sublime.
Funny how a playmaker comes back into form when the forwards create space.....hhhmmm...simple game.

                        • Pearce was pretty ordinary today, however, thank god Maloney is hitting his straps. Hopefully Pearce will improve over the second half of the comp as he was our best at the start of the year but at the moment appears to be down on confidence. I think once Cordner is back in the side Pearce will pick up, Cordner is his go to target.

Mini gets some harsh criticism on here....I thought he was quite good actually apart from a couple of dropped balls. The last one over the try line was a difficult one as he had to beat two to three defenders to grab the ball and lost it on heavy impact over the line.

This comment could of been better if Mini didn't commit 5 out of our 12 errors.

At least it's not half so I guess that is a positive you can take out of it.

                            • Good win but I still have doubts that we can get into a grind with the top teams.

Always hard traveling to Melbourne but they are shot. That line-up isn't inspiring and I believe they are playing like it as well.

They may still have their winning systems but simply the quality isn't there.

I think we need a tough win over one of the top sides to really hit our stride.
