I noticed him back-slapping and gee-ing up the boys in downplay. He was the only one doing it.

Never underestimate the power of that.

He's got sand to put himself in front of Kasiano twice to save a try.

I liked what I saw of him and think he'll make a real go of it.

      Chook.

I admit I was very sceptical of Remi Casty as he was being touted as the second coming of De Gaulle. He's not flashy but we have players who are flashy, defense is always unheralded but he's a tackling machine.

I have a sinking suspicion we've seen the last of Daniel Mortimer in the RWB.

Playing in a winning team in a crucial must win after last weeks weird game will do wonders for his confidence - if he continues his work rate then it's only a plus for us - we have lots of running backer rowers and a workhouse is great to have in our team. Gibbo had it with Bunny Reilly and later we had othe club legends such as Ricko and Fitzy who all could make a break like our French atomic weapon.

Valid points, except the primary role of a front rower is his go forward. Thats what we miss when jared and sam go off. Uf casry was playi g backrow or lock id get it

Iam pretty sure he played mainly lock on Friday. Liu and Evans were our bench front rowers.

Casty was deceptively strong, offloaded, stood in tackles, quick play the balls, broke the line and tackles anything that moves.. Had a blinder for his first NRL appearance against a pack like the Dogs..

If thats the case mate then my bad. I thought he was playing front row. Lock makes more sense to me.

He played really well yesterday. He is getting up to speed with the NRL very quickly. That seems to be soething that people are forgetting. It's only his 2nd game in the NRL.. I also have to say that when I met him after the Canberra game he was one of the nicest blokes I have met..

                        He goes good!

Seems really hard to tackle and is very busy in defence. I was also impressed with Napa yesterday, his go foward is really coming along nicely.

Hopefully these two can develop a nice parntership for years to come.

Perhaps someone with better knowledge of the rules can answer this question.

Last night on the play where Casty scored his try he copped a headhigh hit. Had he not scored he would have got a penalty for illegal contact. But, as we know, he scored. Is that grounds for an penalty as well as the try ?

The fact that he scored the try should not negate the illegal play surely?

I still think he is part of the front row rotation. Not lock.

It's often the case if you get an advantage despite an act of foul play, the act is overlooked as you've received the "advantage" you would have got if play had stopped. That's especially the case with a try. I'll take the 6 points over a penalty everyday.

Real good game by Legionnaire Casty, his work rate and efficiency is rock solid when he's on. Yet to miss a tackle.

                                Chook.
