OK So there has been many theories as to why we are not playing well this season, so here is my 2c worth;
Last season one of our key weapons in attack was Jake Friend, he was jumping out of dummy half regularly making yardage, getting the defence going backwards because he was fresh as a result of a lowered defensive workload due in part to getting a decent spell each game and everybody in the team doing their job defensively.
This year poor old Jake has had to resort back to being a tackling machine to make up for some of the lacklustre defence from some of his team mates. As a result Robbo is leaving him out on the field a lot longer and his attacking game has been noticeably diminished.
I think if we fix this, then we will revert to rolling down the field and blowing teams away.
Unfortunately as has been said previously defence is all about attitude and some of Jake's team mates appear to have pretty piss poor attitudes at present. We have the players, the skill and the coach to go a long way this year but it just comes down to the desire and commitment of the players.
