Friday nights game against the dogs may well define this season.

The snubbing of Maloney and Pearce, will it spur them on or will they be guilty of trying too hard as they have done in the past?

I thought Maloney played a pretty good game last week. Sure he made some errors but his effort was 100%.He is also playing with injury.

Everything, as always, will start with our forwards. JWH and Moa will have to get over the top of the twin polar bears.

Rip in boys and turn the snubs into competition points!!

This is great for us in my opinion.

They will be fired up big time after this and I'm calling it now that they're gonna let loose.

Will be a battle of the forward packs.

We did ok against them last time just struggled to create points. Klemmer, Kasiano, Browne & Finucane have been massive off the bench for them this year.

      - Finucane's averaging 100m per game @ 9.4m per run

      - Tim Browne came off the bench against us last time and made 14 runs for 156 metres.

      - David Klemmer is averaging 80 metres a game @ 10.8m per run in shot 20-30 minute stints.

      - Kasiano is averaging 2 offloads a game and 80 metres @ 9.3m per run

Throw in Eastwood, Graham & Tolman & it's a HUGE pack.

They pick an all middle third bench so they just keep coming at you. Massive test for our boys, especially the youngsters Napa & Evans if they get a crack.

The loss of their halves is a minor loss but not as significant as it would be for the other 15 NRL clubs. The Bulldogs base their game around their huge middle third forwards and that's where they get their direction from.

        This will define our season.

Will Maloney and Pearce stand up and show they are quality halves, or will they get shown up by a pair of stand ins and a terrible back line?

The Dogs halves will be Reni and Mbye, there's just no excuse for us not to be winning this game, we also should not be conceding more than a try/half to any side with that as their halves.

Did you catch Kasiano ball-playing on the edges last week?

I saw him throw a nice cut out ball with the Warriors on the back foot 3 metres out from the line.

Unless we play dumb as hell footy there's just no excuse, they won't have any form of kicking game this week so getting down our end will depend on us committing dumb errors in our half or being penalised into the ground.

              No damn excuses!

The Dogs are on a role and missing crucial players.

Sounds a bit like heading into our Origin clash with the Dogs last year.

                  Beware.

They can go one of two ways and I hope you are correct. I think it's 50/50.

Remember last year when we had Pearce & Maloney playing SOO & Morts & SBW were our halves for the game against the Dogs. Most people thought without Pearce Maloney Jennings that the Dogs would probably win but the Roosters were able to play a good solid game of footy without Pearce & Maloney & win.
So don't think for a moment that the Dogs are going to be a walk over for the Chooks just because Reynolds & Co are out.

Being totally honest the Roosters have not played good footy this year except for the Manly & Dogs games which they lost but IMO played their best footy. They have fumbled & stumbled their way for their wins & overall have just not gelled.

I really have no idea who will win on Friday night but I do know that the Dogs always turn up when it comes time to play the Roosters no matter what side they have.

                          Danger game this one, imo.

We're obviously the favourites to win with their halves out, but will we?

If Pearce and Maloney's Origin snub doesn't inspire them, then what will?

if they dont cream rthem this week, we dont deserve to be in the hunt, its all about dropping the big boppaas before they make too much ground! and dont keep kicking to toops if hes not there this week!

It seems like the excact opposite last year when we were in really good form and lost our halves and Jennings and though we were going to get beaten. If bulldogs were going to lose, it would be on Friday night against us but its no way a certainty
