I fear a game of Merritt proportions from Toups. Hope I am wrong but I don't think he is up to Origin yet. Interestingly Toups agrees yet that big nosed fool picked him anyway.

Happy for the guy, but extremely nervous as a NSW supporter. One of the best aerial threats in the game but he was exposed against the Cowboys.

Either way, after Uate and Merritt... Not much for NSW to lose by picking a youngster.

The thing about Toupo is that he'll make a mistake but wont dwell on it and then he makes up for it. I was a bit dubious how he would perform in the GF due to poor performances from past wingers Walker and BJ but he proved me wrong - I think he will handle it

I have a feeling he will be caught out in defense many times like QLD have done with other new NSW wingers. E.g. Uate, Merrit who are both pretty experienced NRL players. Now compare them to Tupou who hasn't had nearly as much experience as them at NRL level. I really fear for Tupou here but I'm hoping he does well.

NSW would be insane not to bomb it to him as much as they can. This would be one of their big weapons.

Cowboys kept holding him back before he got the ball and were never penalised for it, so did it all night. Manly used the tactic of tackling him in the air during the GF... never penalised.

For sure QLD will have a dirty tactic because that's the only thing that will save Boyd/Tate from being smashed!!!

Yep, I'm sure he was interviewed not long ago and said that he wasn't ready yet.

He may have a blinder, but a big decision by selectors after him saying that.
