True JT. The story is either BS or the Storm are testing how much money the Roosters will pay to release Mason. The larger the sum paid by the Roosters, the more affordable Mason becomes.
BTW, across the SMH and the Telegraph, Mason is either going to:
              1. Japan
              2. Catalans
              3. The Storm
              4. St George/Sheilas
              5. Titans
              6. Cowboys

              Nothing like a hedged bet!

***Sorry Guys. The Titans and Cowboys are not chasing Mason. Point still stands.
I'll wake up properly before next post.
Either way, someone is in the market for "jousting sticks"!

and no doubt that when he signs with one of those ......the papers will say "see we revealed exclusively where Mason was going !"

Gotta love the comments written by fans on the Telucrap article.

And no, none of them were written by me.

I've always liked the Storm as a Club so not keen on him being there, especially if we are paying for the privilege. Note they only want him for the year, so it's not as if it's a secure option for the Wanka.

                        NC,
I'd guess Melbourne only want Mason for a year; whilst we/our cap funds him

i dont understand why we are paying so much to give him to another club, cant we just make him play newtown so we dont pay more than we have to?
I support two NRL teams, the Roosters and whoevers playing Souths

If he stays, The Roosters have to pay him his contracted figure

If he goes, his wages for the season will be shared by The Roosters and whichever club he ends up with

And he is gone - which is as important as the money.

I suspect that they will pay overs to get him out of the country.
