I know my old mate would be very happy although one of his other flames is struggling.
BRONCOS coach Anthony Griffin will axe Martin Kennedy for Friday night’s clash against the Titans _ paving the way for Ben Hannant to return from the Ipswich Jets.
Griffin is set to drop his second selection bombshell in as many weeks today, with Kennedy to pay the price for his dismal performance against the Cowboys last Friday night.
In the ultimate game of musical chairs, Kennedy will replace Hannant in the Ipswich side for their Intrust Super Cup clash with Easts Tigers this weekend.
Kennedy, who is on a $400,000 salary at the Broncos, felt Griffin’s fury after making just three hit-ups for 30 metres in Brisbane’s 27-14 loss to North Queensland.
Meanwhile, Hannant, on the outer just a week ago, is set to be catapulted into the Broncos’ 17-man squad after a strong showing for the Jets last Saturday night.
Kennedy was on the verge of his Origin debut just 12 months ago but is now fighting to save his career at Red Hill after struggling to make an impact in the opening eight weeks.
Hannant remains off-contract at season’s end, but can take another step towards securing a new deal with a bumper performance against the Titans this week.

Lol...
He produced those sort of numbers for about 75% of his time at Easts, it's their own silly fault for throwing that sort of coin at the big lug.
Just found out the most under-rated footballer in the NRL notches up 150 against the Cows this week.
Well done, son....
Nice post. I have always had a admiration for him.a great club man like bunny reilly/luke ricketson /fitzy. he is very much the complete footballer who i rate alongside the great johnny brass.
aubbo lives and breathes the RWB and would make a great captain as he has no mug in his character at all.
Well said. Thanks Mitchell for being a class act each week. No headline harry for this man..My favourite memory of yours is scoring against Souths on a Friday night at the SFS just a few years back to steal the game. Nothing like snatching victory against the old enemy on a Friday night with everyone watching..

This bloke is a Rooster gem. I can remember sitting next to him at a corporate function years ago when he was still in Jersey Flegg and you could not have met a more polite, genuine, respectful young man who could actually hold an entertaining conversation despite his young age, something most of his JF team mates struggled with.
And he's never changed over the years, still the same polite, respectful and genuine individual who will chat to anyone and everyone.

I was just about to say he's never changed from those days and then I scrolled further and you've already written it NC. I chatted to him at the Waverley cricket day back in January 2013 and he was quite happy to tell me all about the new coach, the new diet, training in the heat etc. Little did we know then just how spectacularly the season was going to end...
