And isn't the cap continually increasing? Even if we used SBW's money on Proctor (which I highly doubt we are - journalists jump on anything to make a headline), wouldn't an increase in the cap allow us to keep Moa?

There is no way the Roosters will let Sam Moa go in the form he is in ... it would be a horrendous decision. Moa has probably been our best behind Jake Friend to start the season.

I couldn't wish the bloke more luck if he decides to grab the green.

        Chook.
The more I think about us signing Proctor, the more I agree with you Chook! I have been watching some highlights of Proctor the past few days and I like what I see.

I believe we can get Proctor and keep Moa.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

        Here's looking at you, kid.

Proctor's a decent player, 500k's probably a bit much, but what about Aubo? Aubo's on less then 500k and they add the same out impact to the team IMO, only difference is Aubo's been her 7-8 years and he has the ability to play centre when needed. A backrow of:
          11. Cordner
          12. Aubusson
          13. Guerra

Is still the best in the league IMO, and Aubo has decent passing skills, is a terrific hole-runner and is great in defence. While Aubo could always play on the bench, he's much better starting, while a young backrower like Soni Langi could be on the bench with Evans, Lui and Napa. This way we'd easily be able to keep Moa and other youngsters too.

Moa won't go anywhere. The brains at the club know he is too good to loose and extremely hard to replace.

Aubs reportedly knocked back 350k from the dragons to stay with us for 300k. Don't think they should be splashing that sought of cash on proctor. He doesn't have the current numbers to warrant it.

I rate doctor proctor, good player but I think 500k is too much. Surely we could get better for less

Proctor spoke highly of the Roosters on ch 7 tonight looks like an announcement is imminent.

As it goes, he was full of praise for John Howard and identified with the Liberal Party (in his biography). It's his one black mark. Imagine a working class guy voting Liberal - talk about brainwashed.

I do wonder, however, if that affiliation has changed ever since he became a space cadet. Perhaps he now votes Green.

Why? Why? Why? If he is on more than any of the existing squad questions need to be asked. Spread the money between the borderline current members who have already shown they fit into THIS system , not some one yet to prove they can be of value.
