  • 500k a year for proctor

WTF talk about overs. Hopefully more than half is third party arrangements. Def not worth that money at the expense of one of the current squad. Interesting to see how this unfolds and the effect it has on future recruitment if it eventuates. Would love to know what the staff are thinking and in what direction they plan to go in terms of the squad

No, way over the top, for that sort of money, pass on him, Roosters Decision Makers, a lot better options for that money out there.

If he's worth that, then so are Jake and the rest of the team.

This happened to mrs BB at her current job in a large corporation.
She was hired on one salary, and was only given normal annual CPI increases.
New boss came in a few years later, and then hired new staff to do the same work as she was doing, and paid them $10,000 +pa more than she was being paid.
When she asked for an increase to the same salary as the other staff were getting, the boss said no.
She appealed to his boss, who also said no.
      Not happy big corporation!!!

There aren't a lot of options out there. Plus I wouldn't believe the media, it's likely he'll get $350k in contract and $150k in TPA. He is a young solid backrower with a big engine and good ball skills, he will fit in well.

I agree I think he would be a great addition. Seems to give 110% every week and obviously plays well to a structured game plan. Also even if it is up around $500k, which is doubtful, with the amounts players are earning and going to earn under the new Commission, it's not that outrageous.

                    They'd probably get $1m + [with 3rd party endorsements] a season today.
They were very special players though.

Some players made a lot of extra money during the Superleague battle...but that was a one-off.
                    Luck's a fortune.

They've all been made redundant now, leaving soon for the unemployment heap...big corporation sent their jobs overseas for $2 an hour...7 years tax free gift to the big corporation by the host nation.

I'd hate to be leaving school today trying to find a career job to make future plans/commitments on.

Good the clubs and NRL are making young players plan for a life after football.

500k is 350K pre-broadcast deal so I figure it's about par for a player like him..maybe little slightly overs.

Robbo likes his teams well balanced and we are missing a player of his type. Not too many other options around until young meehan develops mun. We are well short on decent backrowers next year other than Cords and Che.

You can almost scratch Moa off that list, we are struggling big time to keep him.

Also if Ferguson comes I'm pretty sure SKD would be gone too.

Either way we will be strong.
