              We definitely wont make 20,000.

17,000 was the clubs original target before they revised it after a good start. I think 17,000 is possible but the slow start hasn't done them any favours.

Given the club ditched the $99 GA memberships and have gone with the Bronze membership as their cheapest @ $149 I think any increase should be considered a success this year. Also remembering all memberships across the board saw a price hikes this year.

Key is making sure these numbers are sustainable and we can continue to grow year on year. When the club released their 5 year strategic plan at the beginning of last year 20,000 was the target they hoped to reach by 2017 so we're still doing very well for where we're at now.

If I was Helliar, I'd create a 'last chance' promo to hit the17k mark, then next year, reduce the costs somewhat significantly and market the hell out of it, and hit the 20k a year early.

The $99 was a ripper, really not sure why they turfed it.

I buy the four game membership now. But are you saying that buying this membership doesn't count to that figure because I am not a season ticket holder?

Where you say that the $150 membership is our cheapest it sounds like anything below that doesn't count. I thought even the $40 membership counted, and there is no reason any supporter should have an excuse to not have that one.

I still have that T-shirt Hawkeye. I'm sure it's going to meet the same fate as Jerry's Golden Boy one day but I refuse to part with it..

                          I totally agree.

As I've mentioned on here before, I've had some experience with Roosters Commercial over the years, and let me tell you - they are about as sophisticated (in a marketing sense) as a small-med sized family business, or a govt dept.

                          No exaggeration.

They thought the people who paid $99 last year would be willing to pay $149 as being reigning premiers would help retain those supporters. However it doesn't seem to have worked that way.

Because they got greedy on the back of us winning the comp last year.
