I do recall them making a break and Mortein missed a simple one at one stage. Mustn't have led to a try, maybe Mini tackled him.
LOL.

He was nowhere near as bad as Carney and Mini
MOrts has served us well but he should no longer be there, Give Kara a go.

Mini saved 3.
SKiD scored 2.
But RTS dropped a sitter under zero pressure that very nearly cost us. In fact Mini saved his arse.
And $BW pulled off the real turn style effort, that was poor from a player who should be better than that.
Baloney and AV improved.
As did the performance as a whole.
And the reffing was its usual poor.

Cmon my friend i want some of what your smoking!! As i wrote my bit about minis last line of defence (which has always been poor) and i hit the submit post icon, Heighnington made a clear break, ran straight at mini, who threw out his right arm...again. Heignington went right through him. He has done it his entire career.Embrace the Hate! JC

I think you need to redefine your definition of a turnstyle.
His miss on Wade Graham was poor and uncharacteristic but his misses on Feki & Leutele are just representative of a player who's always covering his team mates asses. He reads the play so well in defence that he's generally more often than not always there, covering on linebreaks down the middle or left hand side of the field busting a gut to save a try.
Sure he'll be disappointed to miss the ankle tap on Feki and to lose his footing as he was going for Leutele but he also cuts Michael Gordon down later in the game after he makes a break up the middle. If anything he deserves a lot of credit for being in positions to stop those tries that everyone else on his side didn't have the vision to see or determination to stop. Because at the end of the day if he's not there no one's going to turn around and question why our halfback wasn't chasing back, these are the 1%ers that players talk about that never get much of a wrap in the media or general Rugby League community.

I have not bagged the bloke this season, i actually think he id doing OK, but last night it seemed he was being brushed away and run over.
I think his saving grace may be Carney who was Cordners speed bump most of the nightOriginally posted by turk-283Kurt 79 - Kags 0..

Credit where credits due, he saved 3 tries last night. He got under the man and held players up and was desperate when kicks were putting him under pressure.
And I agree about RTS. I can see why the coach hung onto Mini. RTS has all the natural talent in the world but is too raw as yet for the FB role full time.
In that way he's similar to a young Mini. Too good to leave out of first grade, plenty of potential, just needs time to learn the finer points of playing a very important possie. Luckily like Mini he has a player well qualified to help guide his progression.
Of course they are vastly different skills wise, but both have followed a similar progression path.

Lets talk Minichiello.
Remember that Sharks break near the end of the first half. Two on one, only Minichiello to beat and he saves the day. That play the ball he's at marker in the middle of the field, yet he zooms across the field to scoop up the grubber in the corner to save the day again.
