The refs call of knock-on when JWH scored was clearly a mistake, but the ref made the call, move on...

Rules and video refs are not necessarily things that work well together. Discretion is used also.

My point was that Cronulla supporters would see it as Carney being tackled without the ball - no try penalty.

With the video refs being a lottery, I thought it could have gone either way.

Its not an excuse, we won for god sake, its more the point that teams become so remarkably well disciplined when they play us. In other words its the penalties we dont recieve, even our coach has commented on this.

I agree Oracle Archer has been a complete Failure.The refereeing is starting to become that bad that the game is being tarnished.I live in townsville and have a heap of mates who of course follow the poor old cows who have had more than their share of bad calls just like we have.Aparently Archer and Smith are flying to Townsville this week to address the players and management of the cowboys such is the anger up here at the refs.Something has to be done, its as you say becoming worse every year.

It is a joke. Brooks has been coached and played for that penalty. That is a try every day of the week in my book.

They have to start sin binning players that take dives in any situation. Otherwise nothing will change, in fact, it will get continually worse each year until they issue refs with walking canes.

I really don't understand how the nrl cant see a benefit of the 5min sin bin, refs would use it a lot more than the 10min one, because it does not leave a team stranded for as long.

They used to have the five minute sin bin, it worked then why couldn't it work now?

5 for being guilty of the 412.
10 for infringing the run of play.
Send offs for vicious play.
