I feel like I'm the only one that hates origin ... no other pro sporting league continues a comp without its best players. The fact that byes and things also interfere with this period grossly affects the outcome of the comp. Oh .. and also the fact that during origin time every clown suddenly becomes an expert in rugby league ...

i think his defensive efforts have been pretty epic. He tackled his balls off in the Manly match. I'm overseas so I haven't seen the Bulldogs debacle yet, but from the games I've seen I can't fault his defence for a smaller bloke.

My opinion is Easts need to come up with some new plays in attack and dominate the middle, this will give Maloney more time and space..

Totally agree, Robbo has to find a way to deal with this. JM is targeted every week by opposition attack in their game plan this year and I think he knows this before he runs on which affects his confidence.
Its not a good feeling to have as a player that the opposition think of your defence ability, or lack of.

This is probably closer than we think , the patterns that worked last year are common knowledge to all Clubs out to knock us off.

They bash Maloney cutting down his time and space as well as having him second guessing , they gang tackle the wingers coming off our line , Rag Doll Mini at the back, run blockers for the Toupo bombs , hit the wingers in attack knowing RTS defends outside in. Our second phase has been non existant making it easy for the D to put numbers in to the tackles.

All are easy to make adjustments too.

Keep the faith the opposition are well prepared and playing as best they can at the moment , where as , we have the opportunity to learn and develop at our pace ready for the next meeting.
