And yeah Sonny is going so naturally we will replace him, but this pack we have is terrific.
    Agree JC.

And like the idea of the back line quoted above.

Less buying... More faith in what we have...its pretty good you know.

Well Nofo is set to re-sign with the Tigers today so we can all forget about that.

Proctor offers more than Sims, Tariq is very one dimensional and is not as injury prone.

        Chook.

          Chook.
New club new regime he will change for the better besides we need some back for all the suspensions JWH is gonna get.

            Well said.
            We are the best team.

              That was last year.
              We were new then.
Now we're old, and opposition teams have worked us out.
They know all our plays and are ready.
They know there are tries to be had down both our wings, and so far they've taken them and won against us.
We don't have enough big forwards who can hold their ground when tackled and not get pushed backwards.
              We had Kennedy last year.

Kennedy is the biggest dud we have ever had in our forward pack. Fatty Vautin had more impact for us than that pea heart.

                  Surely you jest Assyrian_Newman.

SuperMegaBosden comes to mind. He was gonna be bigger than Ben Hur.

                  I was so let down.

Didnt you ever see Dancin Dallas Hood??? Or Snott Logan??? Charlie Tonga???

There are so many it's not funny. And I haven't even gone near the 80s.

Il give you Bosden, and maybe that Williams fella, who ended up at the dogs i beleive, but none were as big as, or came with the hype, or nearly broke into origin despite being barely good enough for park footy.....and he is being used as an example as to y our forward pack was more dominant last yr.

But you're listening to BongdiBoy mate. He's that ripped he will say anything.

MLK was a good player for us. In fact he contributed last season. We would've struggled at times without him, especially with suspensions and injuries in the forwards last season. The fact we were able to leave him out late in the season spoke volumes for our depth up front.

That said he was massively overhyped on this site. As many are.

I had fun annoying everyone and pretending he was Lazarus himself.

Wouldn't shock me if he played for QLD at some point. They have that ability to pull a dildo out of their arses.

That Danny Williams bloke I recall that myth. Dead set circus midget.

We have had some bazzas play for us over the years. Some of the one game wonders and SuperMegaResherveGraders have been shit. MLK is a first grader. He ain't great. Just solid.

Is this the same Kennedy who didn't play half the season because he was injured, and so whose impact on the team was limited? The same one who wasn't good enough to make the GF 17??

You whinge enough the penalties as it is - if we had Kennedy we'd be giving away 4-5 more each week. The only reason he's now more disciplined is because he's wearing a ShowPony jersey, not a RWB one.

As for being old - what's the old saying that everything old becomes new again. And we've got another 20 plus rounds left to prove it. Hopefully it starts with a win against the Eels tomorrow.

The worst of the worst that I've seen don the RWB:

                          8. Dallas Hood
                          10. Chris Beattie
                          11. Mark Edmondson
                          12. Steve Crouch
                          13. Nick Kouparitisas

                          14. Charlie Tonga
                          15. Danny Williams
                          16. Willie Brown
                          17. George Azzi

18th man: Michael "the Greek Dynamo" Korkidas

Martin Kennedy, for all his faults, was two or three classes above these court jesters.

                            Well said MySmiffyBrotherFromAnotherSmiffyMother.

That is a set of average farkers you have listed there. MLK is a much better player than all of them.

Assyrian_Newman is just on tilt cos Mini wouldn't retire before last season when his boy Newman demanded.

That list is enough to make a Roosters fan shudder Tommy. Geez there are some duds there.

Sad thing is we could probably make up another list of the same length with the other poor purchases we've made over the last 20 years.

MK is definitely a damn sight better player than any of that list could ever hope to be. MK's biggest problem was that he was as slow as a chloroformed snail to get off the tackled player and was regularly penalised, as that's what happens when you play for the Chooks. I notice now he is given a lot more lattitude, even though he's still as slow.

Am I alone in thinking that Korkidas was actually good?

He added sting to the side, but never cemented himself as a mainstay.

On Kennedy, I'll never forget how great he was coming back from injury to play a great game against the Bunnies in round 26, with no Jared and no Cordner.
