  • Round 5 Observations

1.) Refereeing was decent. A couple of 50/50 knock ons went against us, but nothing too bad.
2.) Michael Ennis is a disgrace. Josh Reynolds is just as bad. Trent Hodkinson almost as bad. People complain that football (soccer) players dive, these three are far worse. So much niggle from Reynolds and Ennis, it's embarrassing. I would be ashamed if they played for us.
3.) I honestly believe we were the better side. 2 disallowed tries, all the best moments in the game belonged to us.
    4.) We win with JWH.
5.) We win if it's dry.
6.) Not taking the 2 when on offer was absolute madness.
7.) Did I mention Ennis and Reynolds are both disgusting?

Friends and Toops' - both correct decisions but very close to tries nonetheless.

          Steps inside he probably scores.

Then you can add Perrett's tackle on maubs as a disallowed try to, just get close enough, aint good enough, and its a bit of a sugar coating.

The two points is what I keep coming back to.

How many times did the dogs go close? Execution was the issue tonight...

Can't agree at all that we were the better side. The Dogs won the forward battle. Execution was also far better in the moments it mattered

It was telling wasn't it. Pearce misses the simple field goal and it grants the Dogs 7 tackles from the 20m tap. They march down field and slot it - game over

Has Pearce ever kicked a field goal ? he's missed plenty.
I'm wondering who our FG go to man is since Anasta left ...did we kick one at all last year ?

Haven't kicked one since 2011, that's what the commentators said last night

I think Pearce has kicked one in his career, none though to win a game. He isn't the guy who should have been kicking one. Our field goal kicking rankings would be Maloney, Friend, Mini, Moa, Pearce.
                      ...

Having seen Cordner's goalkicking efforts last year...you can add him to the list ahead of Pearce in the field goal stakes.
