  • rumours match review panel to hit JWH with reckless high tackle charge

sounds like they are really going to go after JWH, a few rumours doing the rounds this morning that they are going to try and make a reckless high tackle charge stick which in fact has a higher base points value than a shoulder charge.

after Friday night I assumed they would try a dangerous contact charge because they couldn't get a shoulder charge hit to stick, but a reckless high tackle charge would mean a much longer suspension.

I think we'll see a better JWH when he returns from a bit of time off, I'm expecting the same from SBW..

The NRL just declared war. Good, the best way to win a war is to let the other side wear themselves out.

          Hello AFL.

Yes, go the Sydney Magpies or the Brisbane Dockers or whatever they're called!

The only ones who win when there's war are the carrion crows.

In the case of this laboured metaphor, the crows are the tabloid media.

started from the former judiciary head Greg McCallum who was asked to assess the tackle and he agreed it couldn't be charged as a shoulder charge and that they would go for the reckless high tackle charge instead.

seeing the current MRP have been trained by McCallum you would have to assume they will be thinking along the same lines when it comes to charging players.

Who is asking a former judiciary head to comment on these things He should not be getting involved in any way shape or form as this is affecting a fair process

I'm sorry but I've looked at this 20 odd times and yes the tackle hits GS on the chin/head but he is attempting to make a regular tackle. GS falls into JWH's shoulder. I called it that way at the game.

If charged, we should challenge and invite Smith to the meeting and the press. This needs to be highlighted as complete BS

                        Of course they are.
Would you have expected anything else?

"Get the Roosters" seems to be the idea.
They'll likely make sure he's out for the Anzac Day game and a whole lot of others.

They downgraded George Burgess' charge...he played. LOL

should find out in about 2hrs what exactly JWH gets charged with, still think it will end up around 6 weeks due to loading/carry over points.

He only plays 'half' a season.
