  • The road ahead

Well after last nights disgrace, I think it's best we try and look ahead and get our mind off the load of shit that was last night.

Our next five games are the Dogs (H), Eels (A), Dragons (A, but at Allianz), Sharks (A) and Tigers (H). What does everyone think? I believe we SHOULD win at least 3- 4 of those games, however if we play to our best and get a fair go from the refs (haha what am I thinking), then we should realistically win all five of them.

I'm looking forward to seeing how we respond to last night next week. I'm thinking we will be very determined, but then again we may be deflated knowing we are playing two teams - the dogs and the refs. Also can't wait to see a fired up SBW from his 3 week layoff.

    What's everyone's thoughts?

Yeah, I'd hate to be the dogs next week. I think it's safe to say we'll be pretty fired up.

I don't agree with how Bangers and Mash went about it last night but he had a bit of merrit in what he was firing out last night.
We do look off the pace cohesion wise compared to other teams at this stage of the year. While our defence has been good, exceptional goal line defence last night, our attack isn't there yet. It was the same scenario last year and we started to click from about week 5-6.
While it's not a tough few weeks ahead it will be a challenge.
The Eels showed improvement last week, the goons are playing well and the dogs will be tough.
With Sonny back it will definatley improve our attack and hopefully we click into gear and make a few statements in the coming weeks

The usual penalty count against us at Shark park is 1-8 or 1-9.
It's a big waste of time paying good money to go there.

If we are to be a legitimate threat this year, which i believe we are, we should win all five games.

Canterbury lack strike without Barba, and disregarding a thumping of hapless Cronulla they shouldn't be much trouble.

Parramatta are Parramatta, know matter how many times they turn over a new leaf.

The Dragons coupled with the Tigers, will be two of the biggest myths teams of the year. Their respective coaches were under the pump for a reason. Both teams started well but against largely bottom 8 teams.

The Sharks, like i said, are hapless without peptide masterminds Gallen and Falanagan.

No walk in the park, of course, but we should win all 5.

Anything other than winning all five would be a failure imo. The dogs have absolutely no potency in attack now that Barba is gone. They'll struggle to make the 8.

The tigers and dragons are simply ordinary teams who have won their first few games against Other rubbish teams.
The Sharks are nothing like they were last year, they are deadset ordinary, and nothing needs to be said about how hopeless the eels are.

If we're serious this year we should and need to be winning all five of these games.

              Spot on.
We need to get a winning roll happening now.
If the dickheads in pink drop their agenda we will.

The way our attack was in the Manly game...if we beat the Dogs it'll be a miracle.

Not sure where some of you see us playing better than the dragons or dogs at the moment. With our lack of penalties and non existent bench, we could struggle.

There's no such thing as easy games for the premiers.

We'll find it a lot harder to get on winning streaks this year.

I think any less than 3 wins will be a bit concerning but any more will be a job well done.

Good the Dogs won well yesterday. Always better to face a side coming off a win than a loss.

It will come down to two things:

How we react psychologically as a team to this weekends stitch-up and the overdue wider acknowledgement of what's going on...fire up more or feel that we can't win regardless?

Secondly will we get a fairer go or will the status quo remain?

Nothing will change...arrogance will likely prevail like it always has in the past.
