Fairer refereeing of our games would make me happier at matches.
So would some rules changes...the game against Manly was boring...so boring I nearly went to sleep.

50-20s, as Bozo has suggested.
Gloves for our players so they can pass and catch the ball without dropping it.
A specialist 40-20 kicker...surely an Islander boy with strong legs can kick them often.
Our attack inside the opposition's 20 was very pedestrian, predictable, all we seem to have now against good defensive teams is the bomb to Tupou, which other teams have covered.

When the Roosters v Dogs thread goes up the first question I'll be asking is "Where are our points going to come from?"

Nah, I had in mind training an Islander we already have, or buying one who'd double as a specialist 40/20 kicker.
It seems beyond the distance of Pearce and Maloney.

We have to do something to get the ball in the opposition's 20...we sure don't receive many penalties to.

Surely no one's going to tell me that the Manly game wasn't boring.
All we did all night was tackle...then when we did get possession we dropped it or threw wayward passes that ended up in Manly's hands.
At the end, when we did score a try, we had it denied because we ran a shepherd.

Our handling was atrocious, along with our completion rate.
Players in other sports wear gloves to improve handling, we should too.

'Decades' may have been stretching it a little bit, but he was spot on, particularly with the 'subconscious bias' comment and the fact that the bigger stadiums are levelers. There is also the problem that once you get a reputation as being a team that gives away a lot of penalties, the refs will act accordingly, like they do with individual players with a reputation. The Roosters are no more ill-disciplined than any team in the comp, yet they cop it week in, week out. I couldn't believe one penalty when Manly dropped the ball in a tackle, the ref was right on top of it and was going to award a scrum and Cummins,15 metres away,awards a penalty! Can you imagine if this was happening to Souths? They would be tearing the joint down and News Ltd would be conducting a campaign on their behalf to give them a fair go! But because it's the Roosters, no-one gives a stuff. Commentators still keep saying they must be ill-disciplined. The fact that some commentators last year had the gall to suggest that they were doing it deliberately as a tactic and backing their defence was ludicrous! (But as the Roosters are the top team, surely they MUST be cheating in some way!)

We should be trying to kick 40/20s instead of just kicking the ball downfield on the last tackle.

They should be refereeing all NRL matches fairly and not persecuting some teams...or stand condemned, and be sacked.
They, and those who are employing them and running the game.

Yes, all the Roosters haters in the media and elsewhere, ...they know who they are, and we know who they are.
One didn't even have to pass one's high school exams to see them.

As someone else wrote here the other day...we seem to be seen by the powers that be as safe team to persecute, as we are nice guys who won't fight back and complain.
It should be no more Mr Nice Guy...we should now, after Robbo's speech, be the snarling, growling, baring teeth, evil-eye staring club, not willing to put up with being persecuted, and ready to strike back hard with a savage bite.
