It's funny, I - like all Easts fans - am loving the RTS/Mini switch, but it is worth noting that Mini only has a 33% success rate playing in this system.
If (and clearly this is just bollocks speculation) Mini continues to struggle with the lack of continuity, I wonder if Trent will ditch the system, either moving RTS permanently to FB, or having The Cat staying at the back?
I too am enjoying the way the coach is using both Mini and RTS. Looking to utilise both players strengths for the good of the team.
It's only early days and it may not work but IMO it's a positive move that will only give us more options in attack and cause more headaches for opposition defences.
This is what it does for our ageing hero, it helps him get through the season .What we need is the mini to be what he was at the back end of the season last year when he came back from Injury as you could see the rest did him good and he was mistake free and sizzling right up to the end of the GF.
This swapping at the back can put some pressure on us as the inexperienced RTS will occasionally make a blunder .Can we afford for him to learn ?of course we can ...but where he helps Mini is bringing the ball back evading defense wheres as poor mini these days gets smashed around quite a bit. Long gone are the days of him running 300m a match beating the first second defense all the time but RTS can and will get better .
Besides Mini is the best Captain we have had in a long time .
Leave as it is and let the coach roll he is better at this than us.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

Brain...you are starting to sound soft and boring.
Leave it to the coach? Why when we have some really knowledgeable people on here?
I'd rather have a young man (he's 21, that's not a kid) learn the ropes (like our new recruit James German) or Milford than a former great who is beginning to tarnish his legacy.
We know why he's staying on...that don't make it right.

He played well enough last season to deserve the chance for another year.
He's playing well enough this season...WCC etc...as well as many of the other players...they're all making mistakes.
Besides that, RTS isn't ready to do the whole FB job yet.

I agree Easts will be @ our best later in the year.
