Rogers only weakness currently is communication however can be remedied. I don't buy that he is shaky under the high ball. He has spilled some that came from a contest but I've seen the best wingers and fullbacks do so as well. Some contests are a 50/50 proposition given the bodies flying everywhere.

We might as well put up with Rogers mistakes now rather than later in the year.

The old "I told you so" stuff.

Mini is playing his 15th season. He's seen it all. Diffused every type of situation in the game. And made every error there is to make.

That's what happens the more you contribute the more errors you will make.

Then your issue is with Trenticles mate.

Mini doesn't pick himself or hold a gun to UncleNicks melon at contract time (that was my personal fav ).

The coach is with them every day.

I think the way he's using RTS in the attacking 1/2 of the field is great. It's not as though it can't or wont work.

Surely you noticed RTS making errors in defence??? And taking another high ball???

Maybe it will happen before too long and Mini will get the chop, or find the mysterious injury, but after last season when we all wrote Mini off only to be proven we were wrong, I'm betting he will continue as our FB and captain for the rest of the season.

I've seen Mini, Toops, SKiD, PearceOrf, FPN, Maubs, Friendly, Mortein all written off over the last few seasons.

All have proven their doubters wrong.

I ain't gonna back against Mini. Too often in the past I have seen people do it, dismiss a champion only to have to eat humble pie. Tubby Taylor, Michael Clarke, SmellMaFinga even Freddy are just a few who jammed it up the critics.

There's nothing more frustrating and heart breaking than to watch a Roosters legend fumble & stuff up the most simplest of tasks. There's no warped pleasure to be taken out of it. I genuinely feel for the bloke, he's RW&B through and through and deserved so much better than the injuries he went through but his time is up.

I certainly haven't claimed to know more than the coach.

And I realise he will wear the no.1 for the entire season barring injury. RTS is very raw in the position. But will be a great fullback.

Freddy wasn't making silly errors or falling off tackles when he retired.

Tubby Taylor was on par with his career average when he retired.

I don't recall Meninga ever being written off, maybe it was Phil Rothfield.

At least we agree that we love Easts!

BM and Vasco I don't disagree Mini is coming to the end and RTS is the future.

But consider what BAW says above. The coach not only re-signed Mini the club campaigned to have the long serving allowance upped for the direct purpose of retaining Mini.

Gotta be a reason for that.

BM I love the banter, it's all good.

Vasco Tubby, Freddy, Clarke, SmellMaFinga etc were all heavily hammered as being past it by the media at stages, mostly later in their careers. All served egg on many faces. I love a person that rises above the critics.

Like Mini did last year. And hopefully will do again this year.
