Of course Roger would be judged differently. It is ludicrous to think otherwise. Rookies will make mistakes, however the good ones will learn from them. We have faith he will, I guess you don't. However Mini makes the same mistakes with those grubbers, even when he cleans them up he rarely can get back into the field of play because he doesn't have the speed, power and here is the clincher, runs too upright.
I am not worried about Mini dropping bombs, not now at least. He dropped a few early last season but as the season wore on, hardly dropped any. Iam quite confident he won't drop many more. On balance though I would rather Roger moved to fullback but it won't happen, not yet anyway.

Lastly no one takes pleasure in the mistakes Mini makes and I would be having a long hard think if I were you as to who really is the knob.

I'm not the one who for the second year running has called for Minis sacking after a few rounds.

I'm not the one who is questioning the coaches plans re player selections.

I'm not the one who rushes on here after games to highlight certain players errors but not others.

Errors are part of footy. Every player makes em, no one is immune, its a TEAM effort afterall. It's just some players errors are highlighted and scrutinised heavier than others.

I can't see where I'm being an illogical soft knob who has NFI about footy.

I'm simply highlighting a fact.

The really really strange thing here to me is...why are we even arguing when the club is winning and deserved faves to win the comp?

I could sort of understand unrest if we were losing but I can't fathom what inspired the creator of this thread straight after a tough win?

We won because players like Pearce, Cordner, Mortimer, RTS came up with big plays when it counted. How much this had to do with Mini's leadership is an assumption on your part, not fact.

We were under huge pressure because the whole team under performed badly for the majority of the match. Unfortunately Mini made a couple glaring errors that led to points. Not a huge deal and I can forgive the dropped bomb as he rarely misses those. The dropped ball off the grubber is the one that is hard to take as he has had all sorts of problems with grubbers and the problem won't go away because it is a physical problem that he struggles to bend down because if his back and it will keep happening.

Fair enough for supporting Mini through and through but it is hard to take when posters who demonstrate no knowledge of football attack supporters for expressing an opinion which is what this place is here for.

So your saying that we who disagree with 'your opinion' know nothing about football and you do? Where do you put Trent Robinson in this since he also wouldn't agree with your opinion. Most supporters, I feel, support Trents decision and that's because we understand that a team member of a professional team needs more than a side step, fast running or and be able to catch a ball. What Trent needs, Mini has otherwise Mini wouldn't be there on pure sentiment.

The point JFC was making is that the TEAM stayed composed under Mini's leadership. This was the difference between us and them on Friday night. Did you not see Brisbane all falling down like ninepins under the pressure of the last 20 minutes of the game? They folded like a cheap suit as they did not play finals footy last year and their million dollar star studded roster is a thing of the past now. We however cranked it up a notch and won the game, due the enduring experience our young team had of going through undefeated from the minor premiership last round right up until the WCC. They are not scared or weak and you look to the leader for inspiration...

JFC, you should know by now you can't put brains in statues..I tell you this every year...

Mate, one of the things that makes this place a vibrant and interesting place is the different opinions which we all have. The one thing which binds us all together is a love for all things related to the Eastern Suburbs (Sydney) Roosters and its team, etc. However, we all have opinions (sometimes differing) on well everything Rooster related.

Besides if we existed in a parallel dimension and if we all agreed on how wonderful everything is, metaphorically holding hands and singing Kumbaya songs, wouldn't it get very boring very quickly? As the cliche goes, opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one.

Healthy argument/debate can be good and sometimes the argument/opinion can also be introduced, maintained or closed by humor (I was trying to get my point across in a concise but humorous way) and also some posters are just plain taking the 'piss' or looking for some bait. It is the narcissistic trolls who cross the line and News Corp trouble making journos like Rothwitt, et al we can do without.

We have a several hundred active posters and at least 50 very regular posters, even though we are winning you cannot expect that someone will not create a somewhat harsh and critical or 'out-there' thread. Those threads will naturally promote arguments from us passionate Rooster fans.

Jack, I may not agree with you every time you put up an opinion and you may not agree with me either, we can either choose to ignore or debate the issue then agree, 'agree to disagree' or hurl flaming insults at each other, I don't prefer the latter...unless it is the from the Turk then it's flame away.

I am concerned with Mini's early season form, same as I was last year and I ended up eating a lot of humble pie and enjoyed it. I truly hope he recaptures that good form again. I am a bit of a pessimist and it sometimes gets the better of me. However when I am thinking rationally I do trust the brains trust of Robbo and company, they are just about the best set up in the comp.
