  • Trophy Cabinet

So let me get this straight. We have in the trophy cabinet...

    Foundation Cup
    Ron Coote Cup
    Jack Gibson Cup
    Anzac Cup
    JJ Giltinan Sheild
    NRL Provan Summons Trophy
    World Club Challenge Cup

Surely thats a record number of trophies ever held by a 1st grade club at one time.
    Great to be a Rooster.

Milanja, it would pay handsomely if you bet on it

You're right Axe, bout 73-1 going by my rough calcs, given we are paying 3.5 for minor prem, 4.5 for premiership and 1.7 for rd1 v souths. The rest of the matches are a bit if a guess but we would be fairly heavy favs v parra, saints and tigs this year.

Hope we don't buy into favs v Parra.. Well balanced squad/good coach with something to prove.. They'll cause a few upsets in 014..

Oh so it's based on for and against for both regular season games and not based on who last beat who? Makes sense I suppose. Do we get the cup if we win round 1? Or is it presented in the 2nd game? Oh well, we still hold six trophies. Still impressive.

The Ron Coote Cup is presented at the end of the second game of the season and is based on for and against during both matches, which is why the Filthy Vermin won it last year and I think the year before as well.

Letting the gormless rabble have the Coote Cup in 2013 was a small price to pay for stealing the minor premiership from under their snotfilled noses, when most already had the Vermin emblem emblazed on it.

I wonder if the Vermin would mind if we bought their trophy cabinet off them, as it has seen very little use over the last 42 odd years, cept of course for their annual February Premiership, against Saints, its so prestigious, I cant even remember the name of it. Surely it would make good financial sense for them to sell an unused item.
