  • 2nd tier tickets now on sale for WCC

All reserved seats on the first level have been sold out as of Sunday I believe. They're now selling Category 2 tickets in the upper tier on the East Side (opposite to where the players run out).

Sat there a few times and I reckon they're close to the best seats in the house. Not too far from the action, undercover and at a great height. So if there's any fair-weathered fans out there... no excuses now lets fill the stadium with red white & blue. Remember if you were a member in 2013 or are a member in 2014 you're entitled to a discount for the game. There should be a password in your e-mail if not contact the club and they'll sort it out for you.

Still plenty of General Admission tickets on sale but looks like it's going to be a decent sized crowd, hopefully goes close to 30k and it's a sunny day, should be an awesome atmosphere both Wigan bays have now sold out also.

5 sleeps to go and I'm pumped!

Great news and for the record The NRL were ever so kind in offering me upgraded CAT 2 tickets After the fiasco of changing and the shrinking the GA BAYS as ticket sales went along
I respect all our moderators here. Past present and even future. Always have done and always will do a wonderful job.

When I got my tickets months ago I thought 30,000 would of been certain.

We would need a HUGE walk up now to get that.

Whilst we may I dont know why people seem to think this game was certain to draw 30000 It is a match with a side playing from overseas We and other Sydney clubs tend to get smaller attendances for out of Sydney teams and it has never drawn that crowd in England

I have a feeling though we will get close to the mark As from what I have heard there will be a big members turnout

It's supposedly a big game not as big as a GF but surely similar to a Semi.

Every Easts fan should be there, no excuses.

Throw in a few neutrals and two bays of Wigan fans we should get 30,000.

I think most clubs would get 30,000.

That's only because it has been typically held in one of the rugby league stadiums. Had they played it at a larger venue then I'm sure it would have drawn in a bigger crowd. When we played in Brisbane in 94 they reckon close to 60,000 attended. The Broncos claimed it to be 30,000 though to get out of paying us the extra money. I think Wigan threatened legal action if I remember rightly.

The largest ever recorded crowd was 54,220 in 1994 when Wigan played Brisbane @ Lang Park. You sure about that Dan?

The only other game played in Australia was in 1976 when Easts defeated St Helens in front of 26,865 @ the SCG.

They did actually manage to cram 36,000 into Central Park when we played Manly in 1987, and the game against St. George a couple of years ago was a sell out. They should have played it at one of the Football stadiums really as they all have a much larger capacity.

Almost certain mate, there was almost World War 3 about it. Robbing Queensland bar stewards!

I believe Lang Park was once known as ANZ stadium, although feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

The Olympic Park Stadium we now know to be ANZ Stadium wasn't even opened until just before the Olympics.

No I'll take your word for it. I was there for State Of Origin in 2001 I think. It was the final game of the series that Langer came back over from Warrington for. Right old shed of a ground it was. Being a Pom wearing a New South Wales shirt I took a fair bit of abuse that night haha.
