Roosters Wyong Trial Highlights (taken by handycam-extremely dodgy)

Here are some really, really bad highlights from the wyong trial. Sorry about the quality/camerawork, never really done this kinda thing before :/

Also, i saw a couple of cameramen with professional looking cameras (i.e. the type CH9 etc.) use..so you can expect some decent quality highlights from them. In the meantime you can 'enjoy' this lol.

First try in the video was an SBW offload that went to Aubo.
Second try in video was cutout ball from Morts to a NSW Cup winger.
The next try was another slick SBW pass to aubo.
The next try was engineered by mortimer, who placed a small kick that the knights player fumbled that eventuated in a try to Cordner.
Next little play was an FPN offload to Sonny, Sonny gets a linebreak then passes back to FPN but unfortunately he couldnt hold on.
Next try in video was a cutout ball directly from hooker to Willis Meehan who monstered his way to the line.
Final try was a cutout from Morts to JWH who went over the line untouched

The quality is not too bad. Whenever I've recorded at games it tends to be either blurry or too far away. You're pretty close to the action and it's easy to see who the players are (even if I can't recognise the Newtown/U20s). Good job!

Thanks. The roosters looked imposing with all those units running on to the ball with good energy. We are bigger this year, that is obvious from all the early footage I have seen.

It has been well noted that if we are to defend our title, all facets of our game needs to improve, including our attack.

I think Robbo has been working on this over the off season, as there is a new attacking move in there which some of you may not have seen.

We were accustomed to seeing two big boppers run on to a Jake Friend short ball close to the line in 2013, but that last try in the video (JWH I think), saw these two men run as decoys, the dummy half threw the ball out to the halfback and running off the halfback were two more big boppers. I think this is an excellent idea and hope to see it throughout the season. It takes extraordinary vision from whoever is playing hooker, usually friend, to choose the right man to pass to, or go himself.

yep, last year friendy tended to throw a cut out directly from hooker, but this was hooker > morts > JWH
