        No Maubs???

I'd have thought that style of game would have been right up his ally.

Saulala Houma looks like being 17th man judging by a tweet by Jackson Hastings containing player numbers, good to see Freddy in number 6

massive human being a real wrecking ball at Newtown, lacks fitness and lateral movement, Gman was saying earlier in the offseason that Robbo has been really impressed with him.

Nice, I didn't watch the Jets much in 013 but I'll definatley keep an eye out for the him..

Looks like a strong squad, be interested to see how they play it if the focus at training has been WCC, you would have to think the clubs that adapt their game will be ontop.

I'm looking forward to seeing how much better our players will be after 2013, RLWC and a full preseason..

Our boys will go OK , but this 9s format will reward the unconventional and adventurous teams

Must say I'm surprised he's not in the squad.

Besides him being physically built for this more mobile format of the game he was used to model the 9s jumper a week or so ago, on the official site.

I genuinely just thought he'd be the first player picked.

No biggie, I'm sure the coach knows what he's doing.

I really hope Houma gets a go Fletch. Close to line in this format he would be bloody tough to stop. From the 10 or so games I've seen of him he's certainly fitter than Mose. Plays longer stints too. His movement is pretty decent for a guy his size in my opinion. In NSW Cup some of the tries he scored were ridiculous. Getting the ball 15 out and just brushing blokes off until he eventually reached the tryline. Pretty impressive regardless of the quality of opposition. Nines would be perfect to bring him on when we're in the attacking area cos the opposition will soon run out of guys even close to his size to tackle him. Halves are zero chance.

Sounds like he's really impressed Robbo with his pre-season. If he gets the chance and has a big tournament it might mean that our prop depth is significant this year, which I already believe it is.

Agree with you that it's a shame we don't get to see Milne and Meehan play. But I'd hazard a guess that they will both get good minutes in the Newcastle trial. Our backline depth is limited anyway and then you take out SKD, Reuben, MacDonald, Tupou and Rokolati (who I thought had a pretty bad year last year) we'll have to give kids like Milne and Elliott plenty of minutes in the first grade trial. And Meehan may even play some centre (not that I like that idea). I don't think Robbo would like to play Aubs in the centres for a trial either. With Moga, RTS, SKD, Reuben, MacDonald Tupou and Rokolati unavailable it leaves us with what...Mini, Jennings (who I doubt would play big minutes), Elliott, Milne, Goodsell (who will get big minutes no doubt) and maybe Curtis Naughton at a pinch. That's barely even a full backline. Don't know who's playing for the Jets this year but I'm thinking they'll be getting a run in the first grade trial.

Robbo has lost the plot, sack him!!

you would think we are going to name a pretty strong trial line up tomorrow for the knights trial, you would think if any player didn't play in either the trial or 9's they wouldn't be considered for the WCC the following weekend.
