Those putrid carnts will do exactly what they did this year. They will look super impressive with there huge forward pack, stepping slightly off the mark to play the ball quick and Luke will rip teams to shreds. Then come semi time when the good teams go up a gear they will falter, again

          That is another good point.

4 of the 7 members of our backline (Tupou, Jennings, RTS and Maloney) are only entering their 2nd FULL season at the club. As well as Moa, SBW, Napa and Liu in the forwards, to have won a premiership with so many players in their first season at the club, I can't wait to see how we go with a full season and now a full off season under everyone's belt.
This applies to Robbo as well.

The 2014 is shaping up a lot tougher than 2013; a combination of an extended season, no byes over the origin period and the fact that more teams will aim up against the premiers means that we will more than likely drop more games than last year.

While I see teams like Manly and Melbourne are on the slide due to age, Souths on the other hand will continue to perform well throughout the regular season, assuming Inglis and co stay fit. I then see teams like the Cowboys and the Panthers making real play for positions 3-6.

Keep in mind that this does not necessarily mean Souths are BETTER than us, they may just get luckier than us at some stage in the season. The cries will go up from every centrelink in town: 'This is SOUFFS year!' But they will inevitably choke at the business end of the season.
Souths have less depth than last year and rely too heavily on one player .

I see them relying on three things. 1. inglis 2.burgess and 3. Reynolds short kicking game

I'm very excited about the prospect of 14th premiership in 2014. A nice sound to that.

I think our chances are great provided our lesser players really step up. I mean that respectfully too. Besides our marquee players, if guys like FPN, SKD and our interchange players can play out of their skins, on a consistent week to week basis, we will give it a red hot go.

I expect crowds to be up this year also, and i like to think most players rise in big games with good crowd support.

Lastly i am really excited about what Kane Evans can do in firsts.

As for predictions, I'm happy with a top 4 finish, top 2 even better, but as long as we are there, which i think we can be. I don't see anyone winning it from outside of the top 4.

As for souffs, bring it on

quietly confident we will do it all again, a top quality side with competent reserves in key positions, the roosters will trouble all sides in the comp. i expect a top 4 finish, after that we do know how to win now! we have the troops, the coach, the support and the fans to go all the way!

A few clubs have bought well and could be the 2014 version of our team last year. Then there's the souffs, manly, Melbourne, (maybe Bulldogs if TRex fires) who'll be strong again. Injuries and momentum at crucial times could have a huge bearing on the final make up of the ladder so I don't want to do any predictions. But I will. We'll start strong, then during the middle we'll fade but will make a push in the final few weeks to finish 2~4. Preliminary finalists but anything beyond that is unknown

I expect most to leave Maubs out of their 17 as they did last season, instead including many SuperMegaResherveGraders.

I also expect Maubs to end up as the clubs top tryscorer in the forwards as he was last season.

                        You know it makes sense.

While I agree with you backwards, Maubs is more solid than a Polynesian housewife, Cordner was the top try scorer in the forwards last year with 9, Maubs had 8.

                            An error I have made.

In fact reading it again it says Maubs scored 7 and was third on the list of tryscoring forwards at the club.

My memory is rooted. I blame drugs and alcohol.

Which leads me to toke day Tuesday and beer o clock.

Not your fault at all, I say it's Maubs's fault, for leading you to believe he was the leading try scorer.

                              Sack him, I say.
