just got back from washing my eyes out with pepper after trolling the drongos site and forum. as mentioned on the 23rd jan marty has rolled his ankle, and some mentioned its broken. there is nothing on twits or facebook to confirm.

on another note there a wish list of players in a tread on that site. tau and naps are highly rated by the drongos

The broncs can keep their grubby hooves off both of them!! I have also heard from some broncs supporters that if they miss out on Smith that they should than go after Friend, for which they can go jam that idea up there backsides!

I think the whole 'homesickness' thing is a load of crock. Players such as Barba and Milford lasted years at their respective clubs, yet as soon as they show a glimpse of form, and are shown a much bigger pay cheque, they use homesickness as an excuse to cut their club mid-contract in favour of the big bucks.

Back to Friend, not only do I think he should stay out of loyalty, but Robbo poured and enormous amount of faith in him by anointed him as a vice-captain for this year, at a time where a lot of people on this forum (including myself) thought he wasn't good enough to cut it. That should be enough to keep him here for the majority of his career.

that wasn't me. I have always had hi praise for him. I think he will retire here and go down in easts folk law.
