I'm not sure how "loyal" the evil old bugger was to Souths. Didn't he back some big Rooster signings in the 1970s?

PackerSnr started out as a souffs supporter ..followed chooks for a very long time then jumped ship with Fulton with all that been a falling out with Ron Jones
Packer Jr was a die hard Easts man as psycho as us I know that first hand as for the Souffs thing well he must be scratching Crowes back and swapping favours as he is looking to launch hisand Gyngels company in the US in the movie industry.
Packer Jr is a dubbo his money is handy and thats about all .

There's a big development opportunity at the adjacent park area next to Des Renford Aqautic centre, this has been ear marked as the future Souths headquarters...

KP also tried to sign Wally Lewis and Gene Myles for Manly. The Packers only ever got involved when associates asked them.

                        Exactly.

Once Jamie almost crashed into my VW on the Bondi Junct Express Way while driving his convertible Beemer talkin on his mobile. Just drifted into my lane and I had to brake heavily.

I beeped at the carnt, as one would and when we got to the lights he gave me the death stare so I gave him the bird which he promptly returned.

I cracked up and so did Jamie.

Then he sped off still on his phone while I stalled my VW in a state of shock.

Bizarro even now when I think of that morning.

I was talking to my brother about this and asked if he would be interested in our business sponsoring another team if it meant we would gain a lot of business via networking, etc, but we would have to have our logo on their jersey. It is a hard question to answer. Yes, business is business but supporting a team since you were born is another thing.
Its a question we probably will never have to answer so I wont torture myself with it.

Could you imagine Politis ever sponsoring another club?
