It will be a pretty well tell all if he is at Fitzys dinner then.........because I would imagine it will be a compulsary event for the team.........seeing as though training starts Monday and dinner is the following Saturday....

Considering Mase travelled all the way to Orange with Fitzy to attend Sia's wedding, you can bet Mase will be at the dinner

Willie Wanka will be at Fitzy's dinner regardless of whether he's at the Roosters or not in 2010. His friendship with Fitzy and others at the club has nothing to do with his future at the Roosters.

I'm sure Shrek will be there also, and he won't be there in 2010.

Those attending will be there to celebrate Fitzy's career at the Roosters, nothing more nothing less.

I'm sure Brian Smith wouldn't be so petty as to put any roadblocks in Willie Wanka's being there on the night, no matter what his future plans are.

And Melon, you obviously are looking to maintain a collection of wooden spoons considering you've nominated the Wanka as captain in 2010, because that's all we'd win under his 'leadership'. I suppose you'd want Myles as v/c as well, so we'd have the dynamic duo of Dumb and Dumber calling the shots.

Next you'll be advocating a smoko, shout of drinks and a stripper at half time in the sheds to keep the boys 'entertained'. All I can say is make sure Myles has a toilet stop before the second half.

Well there are going to be some people feeling pretty terrible soon.

In one corner you have the likes of Phantom, melon, Rusty and Supermario who are convinced that Willie will stay, they want Wille to stay & that Buzz & Bec have NFI.

In the other corner we have the likes of fred, Novice, elo, Jman and Tobin who are convinced he's gone & want him gone. I am also pretty sure they think Buzz & Bec have NFI however are actually on the money with this one.

For the record, I think & hope he's gone.

Beck and Buzz wouldn't have an independent thought process in their combined brains. And they are more often wrong than right in their 'predictions', probably due the dubious sources they put their trust in.

I'm relying on the fact that Brian Smith wants to change the culture and discipline of the Club for my hunch that Willie Wanka may be on shaky ground. Certainly not on two 'gossip' journos.

The problem will be getting Willie Wanka to take the money and run - that was always going to be the problem. The bloke is damaged goods and he realises that any deal he makes in future will be less than half he's on now. So he'll be clinging onto the full value of his 2010 Roosters deal for dear life.

I will not be upset either way it goes, if it is what is best for the club!!! he isnt worth what he getting paid by a long way, but neither is he the reason the young blokes have run amok this season.

If we get rid of him purely for the fact they think he is the cause of all of problems, that is total bullshit.

If we get rid of him because we fell he isnt worth the big dollars, i am all for it also.

Correct.. I have heard a figure of $600k per season quoted as the money they will offer to Thurston. This is the money supposedly Kimmorley's retirement will free up.. + a bit extra found over at the oasis.
                          ...

I've since found out who it is ... they will be joining us for 2010. Of all the players that have left only Thurston or Asotasi I would have had back. It's not one of them but interesting acquisition if it comes off, exciting too. (no, it's not the Beret Buffoon either)

Well I can't see your club buying back any of the forwards you let go......and the back 5 shouldn't be an issue (maybe fullback if Patten wants a Super League payday for the last couple of years of his career) so that leaves the halves.

Thurston or Braith or Sherwin are the only ones that come to mind.
