congrats mini
The Sydney Roosters are thrilled to announce that one-club man Anthony Minichiello has today agreed to terms for another season with the Club, keeping him at the Roosters until the end of 2014.
“My heart is and always will be with the Roosters. I’ve grown up here and it’s my home,” said Minichiello.
Minichiello joined the Roosters junior grades in 1997 and will contest his 15th season in first grade with the Club in 2014.
The Roosters captain – a former Golden Boot and Dally M Fullback of the Year winner – added that he was looking forward to continuing to work with his teammates to build a legacy at the club.
“2013 was such a special year for everyone at the Club, and as a player, I can’t think of a prouder moment than lifting the Provan-Summons Trophy on Grand Final Day. There’s a strong bond amongst our players here and I’m really excited that I’ll again lead the boys for another season,” said Minichiello.
Sydney Roosters Chairman, Nick Politis, said: “The name Anthony Minichiello is synonymous with the Sydney Roosters. Anthony has given both the Roosters and the game great service and is a fantastic ambassador both on and off the field.
“He is the ultimate role model for the Roosters and the game and we are delighted to have him at our Club for another season in 2014,” said Mr Politis.
Sydney Roosters Head Coach, Trent Robinson, added: “Mini is our leader and such a big part of our Club. He has an incredible work ethic and I’m really pleased that his experience will continue to benefit the team around him.”
Having played 275 first grade games to date, Minichiello has achieved success at every level of the game and is the second most-capped player in the foundation club’s proud history, behind fellow Centurion Luke Ricketson (301 games) and holds the club record for most tries with a current tally of 122.1911 1912 1913 1923 1935 1936 1937 1940 1945 1974 1975 2002 2013 2018 2019 2020

if you look at our top 25 group losses, Josh Ailaomai , Martin Kennedy ,Adam Henry , Tinara Arona, Nafe Seluini(not confirmed) and in the second tier Henare Wells ,Jack Bosden and John Asiata . , we have freed up some $$$$$.; so maybe we will hear lods recommitment to the team. He would be on aroanas money I reckon. lod would have been cheap as he wanted to come to us and back to Australia.
our newbies wont chew up much of that $$$$ Remi Casty , Heath L'Estrange ,Curtis Naughton , Jonathon Reuben for the top tier 25 and Jackson Hastings, Sio Siua Taukeiaho, and Kem Seru (not too sure where he will fit) for the second teir of under 20s and the jets1911 1912 1913 1923 1935 1936 1937 1940 1945 1974 1975 2002 2013 2018 2019 2020

without doubt our very important & inspirational captain
for any chance of back to back, he needs to lead us once again
LOD will be the icing on the cake for me, we need close to the same team but an improved version, it wont take much....."Qui audet adipiscitur"

I read in the papers a couple of weeks back that the salary cap for season 2014 had not yet been finalized and there were issues regarding long term service allowances and the such so perhaps this was the reason for the hold up. I find it puzzling that the salary cap for the next season had not yet been finalized even weeks after the completion of the current season.
