Looks like we will be understrength for the start of the premiership with Cordner, RTS and Jennings possibly missing.
I guess it will give a few guys ( Evans, Reuben, Oldfield and Langi leading contenders)a chance to show their stuff during the trials.

Oldie off to France I believe.

Reuben and Macdonald are capable back-ups if a wing spot is available. Macdonald and Wells can also cover at fullback if Mini is not re-signed.

Lucky we still have Mini in FB...Imagine if wouldn't have a replacement had RTS been chosen as FB for 2014.

The Mickey Mouse World cup went way too long, the second tier teams should of all played prior to it starting, and the winner of that tier, become the fourth team in the World Cup, along with Aust, Nz, and the Poms. Thereby all playing eachother once, and the final being played on the forth weekend, between the Ist and 2nd teams, all over in a month, and the players home resting for another hard season. It aint rocket science, but somehow these officials can make it seem that way.

His leg can't be overally bad, considering he was able to walk off the field. I remember when Chris Flannery broke his leg in 2007, he couldn't even stand up, let alone walk off the field. In saying all of this, I'm not saying the RTS injury isn't serious.

However it appeared it wasn't a clean break, and because he is still young, I'm hoping his stepping ability won't be affected

That's right. They seldom come back from broken legs with the same zip in the leg. He was a great player in the making. Not saying he won't play first grade again, but it's doubtful he'll be the same.

there are many different breaks and positions on a leg. theres the tibia and the fibular. fractures , breaks , greentree fractures etc. im thinking rts had the green tree fracture and that's why they didn't see it, as the fracture goes with the length of the bone . these fractures usually splinter instead of breaking
