  • looks like lettiing Jennings delay surgery for WC just backfired with RTS's injury

doesn't look like such a great decision by our medicos to allow Jennings to go to the world cup while knowing he needed ankle surgery after the season, especially given the fact he seems last in line to actually get any game time.

depending how bad RTS's broken leg is we now face the possibility of starting the season without RTS and Jennings and knowing SKD can only start contact work in late January due to his broken jaw.

Yeah I'd say both he and MacDonald will be getting into a lot of defensive work to get them familiar with our structures. Both are excellent attacking players but would be big risks to put in first grade to start the season. I'd imagine if Moga isn't ready to go to cover Jennings (who almost certainly won't get back in time) then Robinson would just start the season with Guerra in the centres. He's proven himself there in attack and defence. Obviously no Jennings but it just feels like a Robinson move to me.

And I can't see RTS missing the start of the season. Such a shame that he'll most likely miss the final considering he's been easily the best winger all tournament and probably only behind Hayne and Inglis as the form back.

Prefer to see them injured now(if at all), rather than mid/late next season...

At the end of the day it really comes down to the players decision I think, the medicos would've only passed down recommendations and they would've no doubt been to get surgery asap.

It would be harsh of the club to deny any player the opportunity to go to the World Cup and as Robbo mentioned earlier in the year if you stop a player from playing with injury you can mess with the fabric of who they are as a player.

                  Outstanding news!

No doubt Robbo and the Roosters medicos will be involved to hopefully make sure no unnecessary risks are taken. Not that they'll have much say.

lets hope that rts doesn't play and Kearney keeps kassiano in and drops moa. that's the only way the aussies will win the final next week end.

on the rts injury. why not use olfield on the wing with skids .and maubs on the other centre spot with moga/reubin/ wells. maubs does have an excellent read in defence
