Superb! I just bought 5 tickets in the Wigan supporters stand the other day. By all accounts us Cherry & Whites are going to turn up in numbers for this and I can't wait. Looking forward to it!

There was talk a little while ago about playing a friendly against PNG in Port Moresby but I have heard nothing on it since.
Not sure where But I am sure I read something along those lines as well about a week ago
It's a bit of a ridiculous idea if you ask me, it must be about 40c up there that time of year? Surely there must be half a dozen teams based in Sydney that'll be up for a pre-season friendly?
Wigan Warriors are delighted to announce that an agreement has been made to play the Vodafone Warriors in Hamilton, New Zealand on Wednesday 12th February 2014 ahead of their World Club Challenge against Sydney Roosters. The game will have a 7.30pm kick off local time.
History will be created with a ‘Clash of the Warriors' at the Waikato Stadium as Wigan use the fixture as a warm up clash on route to Australia.
Vodafone Warriors chief executive Wayne Scurrah and Wigan Warriors Chairman Ian Lenagan today confirmed the trial as the northern and southern hemisphere clubs continue to forge their relationship.
Speaking about the game, Wigan Warriors Chairman Ian Lenagan said;
"We hugely appreciate the Vodafone Warriors being able to help us as we prepare for the World Club Challenge against the Roosters.
"It's been 20 years since the Challenge was last played in Australia and we are doing all we can to be ready for the contest.
"Quite apart from the importance of the warm up game, being able to bring the two Warriors clubs together like this for the first time is great, not just for us but for the fans and the game itself."
Vodafone Warriors Chief Executive Wayne Scurrah commented;
"This is a fantastic joint-venture opportunity for our two clubs and another sign of how we would like to continue to work together."
Wigan Warriors Head Coach Shaun Wane added;
"Playing the Warriors in Hamilton will be a great experience for our squad and is excellent preparation ahead of our World Club game in Sydney. It is a trip we are all looking forward to and we are delighted to have been able to arrange this historic meeting between the two Warriors Clubs in what should be a tough competitive work out."
The game could see Full Back Sam Tomkins line up for the Vodafone Warriors for the first time following his move from Wigan.
Tomkins is one of only three England or Great Britain players to be contracted by the New Zealand Warriors after Denis Betts and Andy Platt were part of the club's foundation side in 1995.
Playing links between the two clubs are strong with Wigan legend Dean Bell being the NZ Warriors first captain and former All Black Frano Botica signed by the then-Auckland Warriors for the debut season as well. Other former Vodafone Warriors who played for Wigan at some stage of their careers include Phil Blake, Doc Murray, Brady Malam, Jerry Seuseu, Quentin Pongia, Iafeta Paleaaesina and, most recently, Thomas Leuluai. Vodafone Warriors coaches John Monie and Frank Endacott also coached Wigan.
Tickets will go on sale exclusively from Ticketek NZ on Friday and a special link to purchase tickets in a dedicated Wigan fans section will be issued via wiganwarriors.com beforehand.
If any of you need the password/code to buy tickets early use WiganWCC on TicketTek and it'll allow you to book tickets anywhere in the stadium I think.
Bay 32 & Bay 17 have now become Cat 2 seating and Bay 38 has now become another Wigan supporters bay due to demand of tickets.
Looks like there's going to be a fairly strong crowd, hopefully they're forced to open up the upper tier on the Eastern side for ticket sales in the next couple of weeks.

Where have you got this info from ? If that is the case then anyone who has purchased general admission tickets has been dudded as both BAY 32 and 17 were advertised a GA seating
Is this actually legal to advertise something like this then change the seating allocation after people have purchased tickets
I will be ringing ticketek tomorrow about this and demanding tickets for BAY 32 at GA prices Due to the fact that they initially advertised BAY 32 as GA
I'm sure it's in their pages & pages & pages of T&C that you would've agreed to when buying the tickets.
I did think at the time that they didn't have enough CAT 1 and CAT 2 seats. General Admission tickets should be behind goals only for fixtures like this you'd think.
