Most of these people are quite well known in mainstream society. Anyone that has a television or radio has seen or heard of these people before. If we recruited an "A Grade" celebrity like souffs and cheered we would be hypocritical. Most of us hate the fact they have such a high profile fan.
It wouldn't matter what the club did, most people would have found a reason to criticise it.
seriously, are we blowing this out of major proportion???
Im mean, all it is is a home page cover showing celebrities supporting the roosters and asking fans to register interest in 2010 memberships.
Just had a little look around at the other NRL clubs:
Brisbane: Only 2 small banner adds on the web site to register interest.
Dogs: On the top of the page, a counter for last years membership which fades to register interest for 2010
Raiders: Similar to us with a cover web page using 3 raders players and asking fans to register interest
Cowboys: 1 small banner add to register interest for memberships
Titans: Large banner add advertising to re register, they are the first club that i have come across that has released their membership packages http://www.titans.com.au/site/_conte...444-source.pdf
Manly: they have also released their members packs http://www.manlyseaeagles.com.au/ass...Order-Form.pdf
Storm: No membership information or register interest link on homepage
Knights: Same as storm, when you look at the knights membership information, it is still has 2009 details.
Eels: Cover web page like us, memberships are avaliable now http://www.parraeels.com.au/default....0-introductionPanthers: only 2 small banner ads to register interest, no membership information avaliable
Sharks: Large Banner at the top of the page, along with a small banner, and a Video message from Stuart about memberships, packages are avaliable http://www.sharks.com.au/default.asp...0-introduction
Souths: on the Souffs NRL site, there is no membership information. On their proper site, they have a banner in the top corner with counters, http://www.rabbitohs.com.au/Membership/Season-2010.html
Dragons: only a small banner ad to register interest
Warriors: no membership advertising on homepage, a dead link when you click membership
Tigers: no membership ads on the homepage, click on the membership link, you can only register interest.
out of 16 teams only 5 have their packages avaliable.
4 do not have any sort of membership information
2 (us and raiders) have PROMINENT register information links.
and the rest have minimal 2010 membership advertising.
I think we are blowing a Cover web page out of proportion, the reall important thing will be the membership packages, that is what counts, not a cover web page.

To love Easts is to hate Souffs

At a football club, there’s a holy trinity – the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don’t come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques.

blah blah blah who cares about the stupid opening pages, i'm more disappointed that the memberships arent for sale yet. the vermin boy at work threw his membership papers on my desk today.
There seems to be no pleasing some people and I can't see that changing till we start winning some games. Seems to hard to find anything remotely positive in most of the threads. There must be SOMETHING....

I agree......
Broncos website has the full package for sale on a website that makes Rooster look amatuerish.......
And Fletcher received Panther membership packages in the mail last week......
I figure we have at least another "2 weeks" to wait for ours.....
