That Ballin strip was the most blatant strip I have seen in a long time. Ballin had his arm between the ball and JWH's body and reefed it out.

They did get a few rough ones obviously but if any team deserved to have a bit of luck on GF day it was us. Still don't know how you come 1st and have a penalty differential of around 60 with the next worst team at around 30. The mind boggles on that one. I put it down to pity.

The big call that went against us was undoubtedly Manly's first try. No one in the media ever mentioned it during or after the game (probably because they kept showing close ups when replaying the try), but Horo clear as day takes Pearce's outside shoulder as he runs the block and prevents Pearce from sliding, meaning SKD has to come in when he never should have needed to. I think I might have seen 2 occasions all year where team's got away with that this year. One of them was in the grand final. I guarantee if that happened to manly they'd be whinging a lot more about that than a marginal forward pass that wasn't the cause of the try anyway (tackle SBW 2 on 1 and we don't score simple as that Manly).

Symonds did the same to RTS yet no strip call. Mind you, no where near the game ATM so can't view it BUT if a player strips the ball 1on 1 and the ball goes forward from the carrier, is that a knock on? Can't recall if it goes against the 'stripper'.
