Without a doubt if SBW leaves us than our chances of going back to back go down. Of course we will still be a chance, but obviously we are a far greater chance with him!!

SBW signing on for 1 or more years with us will be just 'the' news I want to hear, after hearing the bad news of Paul Green leaving us and quite possibly JT. Thanks so much for all JT and Green's efforts to help us win this year, but I can't help but feel pissed off that they will both be going to other clubs and using all the secrets to our success this year to their new clubs and using it against us, especially Green who will have a strong roster at the cowgirls!!
That's interesting, particularly for Green who discussed this very point yesterday. However, I feel it will take a while for the Eels to play to a standard that is close to us, and to execute a game plan week in week out.

Also, you would think Steve Price, the dragqueens coach, would have implemented the exact same style and game plan Bennett did as he was an assistant to Bennett when Bennett was at the club, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

If SBW was to go back to rugby then I would wish him all the very best for the future, and thank him so much for his contributions to our club this year, but I will be bloody disappointed to see him go!!
Totally agree mate. I wish Sonny all the best with whatever he decides but I would dearly love to have him here for one more year. I am quietly confident he is staying.

Yes Mr Walker, I fully agree!! Winning a premiership is so special, but to go back to back will be out of this world incredible!! Let's do it like we did in 74/75!! This surely would have to appeal to SBW seeing as how it hasn't been done since 93, along with winning the WCC against Wigan!!
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

        Here's looking at you, kid.

I hope you are right Popeye cos I been thinking about that scenario as well. As I understand it the NZRU mandated to him that he had to come back and play Super 14 in 2014 to play in 2015 World Cup. But as I know, (and please someone correct me if I am wrong) it is not an official eligibility requirement for selection in 2015 World Cup.

only problem with this scenario is that obviously the NZRU will make it clear to SBW that he must return to union in 2014 or he will not be allowed to play in the world cup.

by making up their own selection criteria the NZRU holds all the power

as much as I would love SBW to stay he is as good as gone

If I hear the news that SBW has signed on again with us, I will celebrate nearly as hard as I have been since we won the GF!! Cause to me it will increase our chances of going back to back big time!! Plus it is just another excuse to down more champagne, beer and rum! OMG I love this tremendous feeling the Roosters have given us!!

Yes it will take JT quite a while to get the eels to be a force again with the $hithouse roster he will be inheriting!
Green on the other hand will have a very strong roster at his disposal, and if he is able to successfully implement the things that we do at the Roosters, then the cowgirls will be a legitimate title contender next year!

Price has quite an ordinary roster at the dragqueens, plus I think he is just an ordinary coach! I will be shocked if he is still coaching them in 2015!

Believe what Popeye says at your peril. I can remember him coming on here this time last year saying the SBW deal was going to fall over and he wouldn't be with us in 2013.

I'm inclined to believe him...purely because he wrote FACT in capital letters.

                      Can't argue with capitals.
