Dunno if it would work, just an idea

Well last night back at the club, the crowd were chanting 1 more year when sonny had the microphone, he didn't really show any sign or indication of if he wants to stay. He just laughed it off

If Sonny was leaving wouldn't we have signed someone by now? Think about it.

lets just consider for a moment the enticements on offer to him now? the urge to return to rugby is a very strong one even more so as if he returns he could be a part of a successful nz sevens side winning a gold medal in the next Olympic games, he could again return to the all black squad in time to win another world cup in japan! as he is a man who continues to chase personal goals these would seem very hard to resist?personally i can see him returning to easts in 2016 still a potent player, still able to convince the more junior players of their direction in life and footy! i wouldn't have any problems with that? it will be very very hard for him to make a break from the many very close friends he has made at easts he has bonded with the coach and entire team and sees them as brothers.

Regardless of where he ends up next year and beyond, I will have the upmost admiration for him.

Initially I was sceptical about him coming to the Roosters but I feel he has been worth his weight in gold. The fact he played so welll in the second half of the GF speaks volumes of the man. I'm not saying he won the game off his own back but it was so nice to have him out there; Moa to Williams to Maloney to Mini to SKD and the rest is history. Just one of many highlights.

His influence in particular amongst the younger players has been enormous, he helped the Roosters to a premiership and how happy is everyone at the present time. Look at the amount of positive Chookpen threads.

If he goes then so be it.

I'll cheer him on at the Chiefs, the World Cup and the Olympics. Thanks for the memories Champ.
