Only superman could of scored that try, he flew between 2 manly players from nowhere!

Maloney kicking every goal was crucial, but dont think he deserved the medal, friend and moa for me, manly scored twice while jake was off in the 2nd half I think, we scored when he came back.

I think DCE was very influential for them, and he may of been best on ground, but surely it should go to the person who helped his team win the GF.

I remember when brad clyde won it, when losing to penrith, roycey simmons and alexander had blinders that day. I think brad McKay won it when losing to brisbane too.

Apparently what happened was that at 18-8 they already engraved Cherry-Evans' name on it, so then they had no option but to give it to him.

Yep others have summed it up but my understanding is that you ONLY give it to the losing team if somebody does something that's out of this world (say they were behind buy 7 converted tries and DCE scored 8 in the final 10 but Lyon failed to convert any of them so they still lost.

I can't get past the fact that whatever DCE did, it wasn't good enough to win them the GF. You could give it to:
- Jennings for his try alone.
- Tupou because EVERY time DCE kicked it was to Tupou. They drove him back in goal once but IMO that was their tactic... hammer Tupou and he stood up, scored a try and made good ground off lots of difficult kicks.
- Maloney... if the halves own the win then DCE doesn't because he lost!!
- SBW for his defence and amazing 80 minutes of footy. Not sure if others noticed but he was EVERYWHERE...

BAAAAAAH!!! Still dirty about it... never seen MOM go to a player from a losing team unless there's a last minute drop goal that seals the game. We won by 8 points in a tense GF and our boys who engineered that victory deserve full respect... can only conclude that the panel who chose DCE are a bunch of Wankas!!!
