  • Cordner and O'Donnell passed fit Stewart pings hamstring again

well its up to Robbo to fit 20 into 17, consensus is Kennedy/Liu/Napa will miss out, would hate to have to tell them they are going to miss out on a grand final, also fingers crossed for Cordner/O'Donnell because if they break down and we lose it will haunt Robbo for eternity.

on the manly front seems like Brett Stewart has pulled up sore in limited training this week, he will play but will be no where near 100% especially after halftime when he cools down at the break, and if its anything like 2010 halftime could be somewhere around 25-30 minutes.

What a lovely problem to have though.

Brett Stewart is foxing. He's playing mind games as directed by Sir Tooves.

On the Roosters front, this must be about the first time ever that a coach has had his full compliment to select from on GF eve?

This is a message larger than three characters because I double submitted.

          Yep, I'm an idiot.

I think Liu and Napa should feel privileged to have played in this team this year and that they wouldn't expect to play tomorrow.
Kennedy has grounds to feel disappointed.

nrl.com are reporting that we will line up as:

              8 JWH
              9 Friend
              10 FPN
              11 Guerra
              12 SBW
              13 Cordner

              14 Morts
              15 Aubs
              16 Moa
              17 LOD

I'd personally much prefer moa or LOD to start, they give us much better go forward and stronger carries than FPN which I think we'll need for the first 20 minutes
I support two NRL teams, the Roosters and whoevers playing Souths

you would be crazy to field to recovery players in the gf

one is worth a run , which I believe is lod.

love boyd but not without game time. sounds like trents would use him as a strike style game player, could work as mandy wouldn't know any response to what he would offer due to a lack of video work they have on him.

liu and naps have got us to where we are and deserve to play.

I wasn't a big fan Guerra but this last half of the season he has shon

I wouldn't do it that way. I'd have Moa and JWH to start, with Cordner at lock. Then FPN and LoD in to the front row with SBW into lock (if Cordner can't handel 80 mins).

O'Donnell looked pissed when approached by channel 9 camera's today, had quite a bit of strapping on his right knee (which was odd, considering it is meant to be a hamstring injury)

Cordner was beaming when leaving training today, without doubt he is playing.

we know Kennedy is out of the equation I just have this feeling Robbo is going to go with Napa tomorrow and O'Donnell is going to miss out due to injury.

I wouldn't be disappointed if that was the case.

Risking two injured players is insanity.

one thing to keep in mind also is the temperature, it is meant to be 26-27 degrees at kick off, need to be careful how many big boppers we take into the match, this is where Cordner/SBW/Guerra come in handy due to their size and mobility, I can see us running rings around that slob Rose in the later part of his stints on the field.

Geez I think we need LOD. If he's not there a prop rotation of JWH, Moa, FPN and Napa looks a little weak considering it's hard to tell how FPN will go in this slightly different role. One thing is sure, he will take more runs and I think that's a very good thing for us. We won't be as strong in defence without O'Donnell. He can stop the momentum of a set with the way he tackles. And I feel while Napa has been great and could easily have a cracker (and sounds like Manly fans certainly don't want him playing), he can be a bit sloppy in D and has a loose carry in him.

But in saying all that, we will still have a better rotation than Manly in that area. And while we probably look light with that extra true backrower, it's noteworthy that all 3 of our starting backrowers have played significant game time in the middle third (as well as Maubs who has had some useful time at lock) versus the Manly backrow of Watmough, Stewart and Horo out of which Watmough is the only player with any significant experience playing tight this year. With Tom Symonds and Buhrer on their bench (both can play tight) I think this effectively evens out. This is why TR has been so keen on playing blokes in different positions throughout the year, so that when the time came, we could play our best and most in-form 17 seemingly regardless of their position.

if we were to go down to 15 we'd be fukced

watching the manly semi again at the moment, Kennedy did stake a claim

                              Napa must play though
