just saw an interesting stat on the NRL website stating we have used only 25 players this season which is the fewest by a side in 32yrs, goes to show how important stability/combinations are to being a successful side.

Definitely a tell-tale stat. Robbo has been able to get our fringe players to fire which means he will always choose the player that has done the job previously. As a result not as many players come into consideration. Another thing Robbo banged on about earlier in the year was body-shape and how it was important to get a variety there so defenders would have to adjust their style with every play. Especially in the forwards, we have that variety. Moa, FPN and LOD are more compact than SBW, JWH and Guerra. When you have all these guys charging at you, I would imagine it would take a great deal of effort and focus to stay in the game. We have stormed home in just about every game this year. With the run that Manly has had, I expect the Roosters will be on top at the end. We need to start well.

I would love to have the papers list the % of the salary cap that is playing for each club each weekend. If you did your tips based on that I reckon you would go alright.
The reality is the salary cap restricts you from having huge depth. If you can keep your best players on the field it goes a long way to being successful.

Two words - Keegan Smith.
From all reports this bloke manages our strength, condition and rehab, which LOD has credited for his longevity this season and many players are singing his praises.
Saw a pic of the bloke in an article, he is cut. He and Robbo have worked together for a while and share a lot of philosophies around player management and it is paying off big time.
I read this morning Arthur is in line for the Parra job ahead of JT. Excellent news for us as the coaching team we have atm including guys like Smith and JT are why we are where we are. I'd like to keep em all together for a while longer. We're right with Fitz and Robbo, being club men they'll not be going anywhere, but these other guys are adding value and we need to keep em.
Chook.

You have to give credit to Robbo & the coaching staff for there decision making in regards to letting players go from the squad this year. BJ Luelia, Mose, Cherrington, Tasi & Tom Symonds have not been missed IMO even though I like Symonds & I hope he doesn't come back to bite the Roosters this arvo.
Then credit must be given to the fitness staff who have been able to keep the squad fit & well rehabbed.
Then you have to give credit to luck because if they hadn't had luck with them this year then there would have been more players used.
