They only give the award to players who actually attend the ceremony. SBW wasn't there. Cordner was a surprising pick but makes sense, at least they got the club right.

Dally ms are a joke....there is no way thurston was the 3rd best player in the comp and sbw nowhere on the leaderboard shows how worthless this award is. More proof is fittler and lockyer bever winning it.

Not sure if rigged is the word, but you have to question the credibility of the judging when SBW doesnt even make the Top 20 players.

They should just call it the News/Fox favourite award. If it is to have the elite status in our game, the judging panel shouldnt be limited to News/Fox journos/presenters
