  • Our Left Edge D

We conceded 3 line breaks down the left edge to Manly and another 2 down there vs the Knights.

A bit of a concern? You learn from your mistakes so I'm predicting Robbo will tighten it up for the GF.

That's also why I think Cordner will start.

    Thoughts? Concerns?

I have been concerned about Toupo's reads in defence on numerous times..(Manly game in particular).

Michael Jennings' defence has actually amazed me this year..

It's a good read isn't it. I've enjoyed reading his views on the different players strengths and weaknesses.

Thats because we have 10 defenders covering SKD's ass

                It certainly is. Fascinating, actually.

(Hope he's right about Tupou scoring 3 or 4 tries!)

As good as Guerra was last week we looked a lot better when he wasn't defending on left edge any more. Mullen made him look stupid.

It was said on here before and after we got Jennings that his defence was poor and he has proved many wrong. It's def our weaker side in defence though, considering Pearce and SBW are so strong on other side. Edge defence is the hardest defence system to get right, it's why I tend to give SKD more leniency than others and why SKD, for all his mistakes, really has been great this year. Especially he and RTS have had to work really hard as it appears RTS is a very quiet guy. I see it with kids all the time, trying to coach communication to shy and quiet kids is hard work.

A lot of attention will be directed toward SKD in both attack and defence.
If he holds it together early, his confidence will rise and carry him through for a solid game.
As we have seen this year, early blunders have set the tone for him the rest of the game more often than not.
The first 20 mins will confirm where his head is.

Against the knoughts the three line breaks were made between the following players if I remember correctly:

                        Maloney twice
                        Guerra twice
                        Jennings once

I trust that those three are on their game against lyon and wolfman because they're going to have to be given the class of lyon.

By the way, I take it you've all seen this ...

With that article title I am convinced that the time of political correctness is OVER.

Or am I just trying to find a ni...yes, a ni, in the woodpile?

Manly's left edge is lethal too.

Glenn Stuart, Jamie Lyon, David Williams, Brett Stuart chiming in.

We'll have to be on our game again. Obviously.

                              totally right TS!

peeps don't realise the dire consequences of not having Cordner in our most important game.

without Cordner I am worried, with Cordner the fat lady will clear her throat.
