  • Pearce's running game

I know lots of us (me included) have bagged him out but after watching the replay of the match against the Knights his running game was superb. I reckon he should have got MOM instead of SBW.

Pearce was everywhere, setting up tries, backing up the ball carrier, making tackles, kicking... and best of all he was taking on the line - creating havoc and making breaks. When he runs that damn pill he is dangerous. Where has that been over the last few years???????

Well done Mitch... do it again on Sunday champ.....GO EASTS!

Loving Pearce's running game since SOO. He and Jimmy seem to be working so well together. Each taking the ball when they see fit without getting in each other's way. They really need that cohesion if they/we are going to get on top of DCE/Foran.

Newcastle's 'A' defenders were way too wide on Saturday night leaving a lot of space in behind the play the ball which Pearce recognised and was good enough to exploit. If he had held the ball a fraction longer before passing to Maloney, he would have scored under the posts but he gave it a fraction too early and Boyd was able to slide off Pearce and get a hand to Maloney slowing him down sufficiently for the cover to be able to round him up

Yes i've bagged him, especially his kicking, throughout and deservedly i suppose BUT YES, he is running faster and good support play for SBW offloads. I'm glad to see him playing with so much confidence.

In respect to the many breaks he has made and the ones against the Knights, trying to understand why so many players made so many breaks on the night. Not only the fast players like Jennings and Toupo but Friend? Guerra? Was it because there is something in our water or are the knights just too bloody slow?

He was handsown MOM Saturday. Channel are f*cked. His defence, his kicking game, his running. That pass he through to Guerra was a cracker, only for Guerra to run away from a charging D. Tupou.

I couldn't be happier for Pearce and Friend to have shut all those baggers up.

Dad's army is why, the old legs couldn't keep up haha.

Yeah Pearce should've been MOTM or even Guerra, unsure why SBW was given the award. He played well but wasn't amazing
