  • Any Chance the Roosters Will Now Get Some Fair Refereeing

With 7 officials stood down for incompetence we can only hope that our penalty count will improve and decisions like the last penalty to Manly will disappear. You don't have to tell me. I'm dreaming.

Our only guarantee after those officials have been stood down ...we wont have a try scored against us on the 7th tackle.
The rest of the rubbish will most likely continue !

If we play Melbourne in the semis, we will probably get smashed by the refs so the NRL can prove it is not Sydney-centric!

I find it hysterical that one dud call against the Tropical Bogans has caused such angst across the civilized world. This is a team that regularly gets 9-2 penalty counts at their home ground while we are shafted nearly every game.

I agree with Fleabag Fletch - this incident will only increase the likelihood of us getting a raw deal.

What do you expect from Queenslanders?

            Particularly North Queenslanders.

            They're hysterical and paranoid.

            Completely delusional.

weve learnt to play around dud calls for a number of years now, we see the favouritism against us continued in every game especially from the incompetent ms who lost count of the tackles! i was hoping hed be out for rest of season, but im sure he wont get the nod for the grand final, thats one good thing for us if we get there! which i expect we will!

Spot on SO66! After the pressure of the conspiracy theory mentioned by henry and thurston, the refs will extra go out of their way to f**k us over even more when we play the storm, to show that Sydney teams are not favored against non Sydney teams and to make up for the storm being robbed against $ouff$ with those two bull$hit disallowed try rulings going against them!!

What I am dieing to know is neil henry and johnathan thurston claim that the NRL want a $ouff$ vs Roosters GF, then where the f**k are the favors given to us for this to happen??? Well at least they are half right with their conspiracy theory as you can write an entire collection of britannica encyclopedias long worth of all the favors given to $ouff$ this year!!
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

                Here's looking at you, kid.

The only thing guaranteed is that Henry Penerana cant gift souths penalty after penalty. We may not get any special favours but its been sickening watching this referee ensure souths get out of their own end of the field time and time again.

When I heard that cecchin had been ruled out for the rest of the year I was pleased as I thought that's one down. Spirit and Oracle make good points I'm afraid and I live in hope the Roosters will get a fair go against either the knoughts or drizzle.

Penerana is not the only one. Souths have received many penalties in their 20 all year.

Souffs are experts at ground humping, leg thrashing, crawling forward, walking off and around the mark after being tackled. This is almost always rewarded with a piggyback penalty. If this fails (rarely), dropping the ball will earn a strip penalty.

The other thing the refs are masters at is exercising their discretion in deciding when a player is "held". This happens almost instantaneously when a souffs player is grabbed by defenders, so as to allow a quick play the ball (or to prevent them being trapped in goal or over the sideline).

I really think they are saving their best work for the coming weeks. Anyone prepared to bet me a lobster we won't see some roosters players binned if we are defending too well?

It wouldn't suprise me to see fricken Souths awarded an 8 tackle try!!
                            Anything to assist them!

The team has evolved to it's surroundings, we have learnt to play with adversity. It actually makes us tighter and more resilient and you can see that. If anything they are helping us become a stronger team by penalising us, so we should thank the NRL for that lol.
