"It is the second time Waerea-Hargreaves has been suspended this season after being given a five-week layoff following his send-off against the Sea Eagles for a shoulder charge to the head of George Rose."

Lol. Anything to paint the roosters in the worst light possible.

          What about this turd burglar:

          http://www.sportsfan.com.au/what-we-...1/default.aspx

Under "what we don't want to see this finals series" (the main thing he wants is Souffs to do well), this is how he sums up the roosters' achievements this year:

Will it be the Roosters with their preparedness to kick the ball dead and concede successive penalties to avoid presenting a disorganised defensive line? Will it be the Bunnies succeeding on the back of huge forwards piercing the line and providing quick play the balls? Will it be Manly with its classic approach based around a class halfback, a genuine five-eighth, with additional playmaking coming from the full-back, Glenn Stewart in the back row and Jamie Lyon in the centres? The Sharks with their quality pack and gifted pivot? Or will Melbourne or the Dogs come up with a variation on the well-known Bellamy and Hasler plans?

I'll translate the bit in italics about SouFFs into something more realistic:

"Will Souths pack of filthy, criminal pommy mongs get away with every manner of physical atrocities committed against opponents, as they have all year, while they receive unearned piggy back after piggy back penalties out of their quarter every time they need it as they don't have any real attack? Will all their players, particularly Greg Inglis, continue to walk 5 metres forward and off to one side whenever they get up to play the ball, thereby unfairly taking both markers out of play (apparently the refs haven't noticed this yet after 26 rounds) and being awarded more unearned penalties? Will they hold down opponents tackled players far longer than they themselves are allowed to be held down when they are tackled and get away with it? Will they infringe in every ruck they defend by putting hands and knees all over the ball, unfairly slowing them down and being awarded a scrum feed if they dislodge the ball with said hands and knees? Will their tackled players, if they don't make it as far as walking off the mark, drop the ball and receive a strip penalty? Will all their players lie down like filthy, cheating dogs every time they think yet another penalty might be forthcoming if, after their 2 trainers run into the ruck to force a halt to play, a TV replay can be looked at?"

          Have I left anything out?

Fair point, but I am not the only consistent one.

This misanthrope who wrote this crap, on the NRL site, tries to perpetuate this crap about the penalty canings we've received being part of a devious master plan that works to our advantage.

For the record, I don't think there is any organized conspiracy - I never have. It's more a case of preconceived ideas by the refs which is not a conspiracy but it most definitely is bias. But anyone who says we have received a fair go from most of the refs this year is not paying attention.

And when malevolent little turds like this guy go into print on the eve of the finals and perpetuate this "roosters are only there because they thrive on being penalized" agenda, yes I am a dog with a bone.

Thoroughly love your work player 1, it is 'all' smack bang on the money!!

Yes you have left some things out. The favorable draw that is given to them leading into the finals with being able to play Friday night, after Friday night, after Friday night etc etc etc... often playing teams off a short 5 day turnaround like we had to last Friday night!

The favorable judiciary decisions given to them with $am burge$$ getting off lightly with the squirrel grip and getting off altogether with eye gouging, along with his high hit on billy slater which nothing was said about. jeff lima getting off lightly for twisting the knee of whatnow's injured leg. I'm quite sure it was macqueen who did a cannon ball tackle on Ryan Hinchcliff earlier in the season that had him out injured for 5 weeks and nothing come of it. Alex McKinnon of the knights also was the victim of a cannon ball tackle by a $ouff$ player and was injured as a result and nothing come of it.

Plus I must add that penis head haircut nathan ferrett is also along with gi a master of milking penalties by carrying on like a total d!ckhead on the ground when tackled!
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

                  Here's looking at you, kid.

Nice that's been my take on it too mate.

I still maintain we have been mostly our own worst enemy over the years being ill disciplined. IMO this side is paying for years of Bwaiffism.

The irony is, as with the repeat set issue, we are that farking good this season that we actually go better when both these two stats are heavily against us.

Are you lot happy about anything? Every thread seems to be a complaint of some type or another. We have actually won the minor premiership, you do realise, and have a very solid chance of winning the whole thing. Its not all bad.

Of course if you read enough stuff in the media you'll find some negative stuff. And some wrong stuff. Who cares. Its only words. Not going to affect anything that happens on the field.

You all need to relax. Drink a few beers, smell the roses, watch some porn, whatever makes you happy FFS. We're gonna win a comp. Life is good.
