A knife? The guy has got to go and I am sure he will but the club can't sack him until it has been investigated. Does not look good though.
I agree. But the club did not sack Cherro. Similar circumstances from memory. Given the club's actions, or lack thereof, on previous incidents, there is no certainty he will be sacked

I agree with the idea of a bonus. Like a business performance package, if a player is on $200K pa, you can pay him $170K in monthly instalements. IF the player stays clean, ie, no off field indiscretions, then he gets the balance of his contract, ie $30K

Problem is the dropkicks are often too pissed to decipher right from wrong

It would not mean that the player would not get fined also if they stuffed up huge either. I am sure there are a lot of legal implications and definitions could be grey but something has to be done and the best way to hurt people is in the hip pocket.

If you fall within a particular range you don't join this club.

Lets not forget these guys are playing the toughest sport on the planet.

You start to bring out the psych tests in this environment and you will end up with a team filled with rugby union players.

There is nothing wrong with being unhinged in league terms.
Just ask Salvatorie, Ron Gibbs and Terry Reagen.

It seems to me the dichotomy of religion and similating into Australian culture.
To me, it seems very hard to manage both effectively.

The brothers need the metaphoric "wooden spoon" smacked on the arse all the time in my opinion.
It is how they have been raised.

Honestly, I cannot believe the club hasn't already sacked Sa and Mason, and that they re-signed Friend, Myles and Cherrington after what they did. And now another one.

If it was up to me, I would have sacked some of these blokes straight away. Doesn't matter how important they are to this team, they need to know responsibility.

I don't think the club should sack Mason, after all what did he do, piss on a wall in a dark alley, big deal. Sa, Waqa, Friend, Cherrington on the other hand should all be shown the door. I'd give Myles the benefit of the doubt.

He might be gone, but not for pissing on a wall.

Like all other Wallsters when I awoke this morning and heard on the Radio that another Roosters player was in trouble it was all I could do to not laugh at the situation! Is it not enough that we ended up with the spoon amongst allegations of match fixing but another player is now in trouble with the law! Fair dinkum surely it cannot get any worse!

I agree that all players should have to sign a contract that either allows the Club to fine them, withhold payments or terminate if they bring the Club into serious disrepute. Waqa must go regardless of whayt may have transpired before as there always must be a first. Should be followed very quickly by Sa and anyone else that is involved in the type of assaults they are alleged to have committed. Friend and Myles while not a good look is not exactly in the same boat but large fines certainly should be inforce.

And here was I thinking the pain would ease now the Season was over!

ROOSTERS prop Stanley Waqa today reserved his plea for a charge of recklessly wounding his wife and will reappear in court on Oct 22.

21-year-old Waqa spent less than 10 minutes in Waverley Local Court and did not comment to the awaiting media.

Only a day earlier Waqa allegedly lashed out at his wife and sliced her little finger with a knife during a domestic dispute in their Randwick unit.

Waqa’s lawyer Michael Barko said a mandatory AVO was in place, however, Waqa was free to continue living with his wife and their two children.

Waqa’s wife, Bernadette Cava, was also at the court and made no comment.

The Daily Telegraph understands there is no animosity between the pair.

It is just the latest in a long line of off-field incidents involving the Roosters.

Agree. However my limited understanding of the tests is it allow examiners to gain an understanding of what a person considers reasonable behaviour and reasonable reactions. There may be a fine line in which we can keep the odd crazy bastard but kick out the overly unstable!

Christ, were they have a knife party or something? No animosity after being attacked with a knife by your husband who you have two children with!? Surely the average human would be terrified after such an event.

She must have left a crease in his shirt, so copped it.
