I know I'm in the minority here but I think that the charge is correct. It was very close to being nasty. Reflex reaction from JWH and not intentional but it still happened. Pomeroy should have also been charged. The League stuffed up & they have now put themselves in a very awkward situation.

I don't like it any more than most of you here that he might be suspended but I ask you how would you feel if it was one of our players on the receiving end of it? No case to answer? I think not.

The one I am really peeved at is the eye gouge from squirrel. Unbelievable.

      Flame away.

        I can't recall too many.

Last one I know of was Finch!
Finch? what he get taken to the judiciary for? throwing passes into the grandstand rendering people unconcious.
Which brings to mind a story Wingy told me ages ago how Stuart ordered the players to take defnsive positions on the field so Finchy could do some kicking practice -all the players all headed to the grandstand to catch the ball which pissed Finch off and was funny

That alone should frighten the review panel kents... Coz they are basically saying its all good what Burgess did so any other player doing it should be ok too.
Burgess, convicted of grabbing and squeezing the testicles [or is it testes?] of another player
          IMO the lowest act possible.
Should've been suspended for a very long time.
          He wasn't.
          Says it all.

Now alleged eye-gouging, and alleged kicking.
          Protected species, it seems.

I agree. As I said the Roosters / JWH is paying for the stuff=up over the Pomeroy charge.

Burgess getting off doesn't surprise me in the least. He's been getting away with grubby / foul tactics since he's been here. His striking charges seem to only ever cost him 1 or 2 weeks where others seem to cop more. As others have said, if Jimmy had carried on like a pork chop and started a melee it may have been a different story though.

                Classic.

Can't believe Finch got off and played in the 2004 GF.

                We would have won!

                    agree

they farked up big time not charging Pomeroy, but to now say that JWH has no case to answer would be absurd.

If he'd collected him in the face, a send off was on the cards. As it was neck/throat, 1 week is fair

you are in the minority mate. ask someone outside of this forun, that actually exist, if they think the NRL sit around a table discussing how to let souths win and how to make easts lose and you will be laughed at.

The more I think about it, if he misses a week, so be it.
You have to accept with a hard-man like Jared, that he'll cop a suspension or two, due to the way he plays the game. Be thankful that he has eliminated this stuff from his game...

If they want to manufacture results for the betterment of the game, then there would be nothing better than a roosters-souths grand final? There would be nothing better than two of the only foundation clubs playing in the decider to promote our game. So going by that, results this weekend will see both the roosters and souths win their games because it's the only way that they will meet. In the big one.

I am as biased are the rest of you on here, but when you look at it. he could of easily hit him in the chest with his elbow, but he kept raising it, until it eventually hit McQueen in the throat, but try at least, if there is nothing to lose.
