Our normal attacking structures are now known to all opposition defences, we need to throw the ball around a bit more to upset defenses. We have become far to predictable, If we throw it around defenses won't know when a set play is coming.. [just my professional opinion!]

Our poor defense is a lack of effort and not working hard enough for each other.. Our attack is boring and too direct and has been found out, i think we need to play a bit of footy in the middle third of the paddock and open opposition defenses up a bit. Manly did it to Storm last week end and won, so did Tigers against $ouff$ and were leading by 18pnts then unfortunately ran out of steam..

I dunno so much. It might be just me but the last two weeks our attack has looked different to most of the year. A lot more flat and indecisive more than anything. Against sharks when we put on that sweeping play with two lead runners, we scored everytime. Should have scored yesterday off it but once again SKD decided to head back in field rather than pass to an unmarked RTS. I think we should go back to the way we have been playing all year, which is playing a lot more direct and straight rather than heading cross field which looks to be happening a bit more often.

This is just my read on it, I could be completely wrong.

However I agree with you rcptn, we must focus on our defence this week if we are to have any hope against souths

We build pressure through our defence - we then leverage that pressure in attack.

Over the last few weeks we have slackened off in defence and so our attack suffers.

We need to get back to our hard arse defence.

The rest will come from there.

I agree about our D being slack but that is a lack of effort and can be improved through working hard for each other, the fact that our combo's in the back row and right side have been dirupted over past weeks doesn't help either. Our attack is too predictable, front play to Guerra/ right sweep/ right C to Toups no B's..On the other side we aren't using the C to Sheck it was a great option for SBW... JMHO

No disrespect but, no kidding! mate Its finals time and our Defense will cop its biggest test every week, my point is that we need to have more than our current plays when our D isn't working for us and we are going to need more of everything in the finals. particularly effort!..
